Hi all,
I have a British driving licence currently which is valid in Quebec for 6 months, afterwhich it would need to be accompanied by an international driving licence in order for me to drive here legally. I am currently residing in Quebec awaiting spousal sponsorship and actually my British licence is about to expire and legally I cannot renew it in my home country because I am not considered a UK resident there anymore.

I was wondering how easy or difficult it is to get a Quebec driving licence (basically exchange my British one for a Quebec one). I believe Quebec has its own rules which are stricter than the rest of Canada so would it mean I would have to do a driving test here to get the Quebec licence?

Hopefully someone can help/advise who has either done this or knows the rules for driving in Quebec.
Many thanks
