Processing in Buenos Aires?

I just wanted to shed some light and hope in this thread. We got and email from the embassy about two weeks ago stating that we are in process and that we need to submit some additional documents for them to continue with the processing. It was a relief to hear something!!!! We were excited because what they needed, we could get in a day but then we were told that one of the papers will take 2 months OMG....but that's okay because I know we are so close!!!!

Based on what I have seen in this forum for over a year now. They really go through your background. Do not compare cases. Every case is different. Please do not get discouraged when reading other posts. Expect a min. of 6 months and a max. of 12 months and but odd more than 12 months. I do not think by writing the embassy will get you anywhere other than a reply saying your in the queue of processing..and an attachment of the link on the website stating timeline of BA (which is 12 months).

The waiting is very frustrating and difficult if you are away from your spouse or partner. Be positive and dont think so much!

Well, at least something is going on with the BA VO.
We haven't received anything from them by mail or email.
The only email was that sponsorship was approved. If I check the website, it says that they received the file.

I guess nothing much to do other than enjoy the summer...

Finally the strike is over and i might receive my CSQ this week..! It "sucks" in a way that not much people are going through BA cause we dont have much to compare how the things are going..

Good luck to everybody and hoping for BA to wake up a bit

Lol.. to make you laugh a bit.. I received my CSQ today by mail and ,of course, the letter was dated June 15.. anyway! So i go to email Buenos Aires with my CSQ attached to be sure they have it and it took me like 30 min to write a small thing to be sure everything i say is right you know..! And then! finally ready to send it.. press on the button and PAF! comes back saying delivery failure.. so im like alright.. write back the adress and still not working.. so 3rd time.. not working.. going on the website to check again to be sure.. send, not working.. so i get mad and i start a new email (before i was doing transfer..) and telling myself :alright.. just dont forget the attached file.. and i was so mad that it wasnt working that i press send thinking everything is ok! I received an email from VO for the confirmation and im like YEAH! finally.. but nop.. hahah i saw that i forgot to attach the file.. so i had to SEND IT AGAIN! haha.. poor me.. a secretary and forgetting the attached file.. immigration is making me nuts! ;D

@malirca : I saw on the spreadsheet that you are in process?? did they wrote that in the email or you saw that on ecas? Cause in the email they sent they just said that they created our file.. so i was wondering! :

Well in my ecas it says in process, and in the email how you said, it just says they have created a file.
Have you heard anything, you are a bit ahead of me and thought maybe you'd have some more news.
You hear from anyone else in process at our VO. We dont have much traffic on this thread

Yeah i know i wish there was more people talking about updates! :-[ My ecas still says Application received June 4... i wish it was in process.. i sent them an email on friday about my CSQ and of course (as i expected) they didnt write anything back.. Its hard cause we see people from other VO getting news really fast even tho the processing time on the website says 12 months.. but not much people with BS AS are getting progress...

Its been more than 3 months ive seen hubby and its getting hard.. we think that if in september we still dont have news he might apply for a tourist visa..

i was mistaken, i just checked my ecas and it says application received, i dont know whyi thought it said in process. i guess i just assumed that it said that because i had gotten the email from the BA VO.

i live with my partner in the us, so i definitely feel lucky cuz i get to see him, but im sick of being here and i want to go back to canada right away, like tomorrow.. hahahaha. but i dont want to go with out him
its very hard for him to get work here and we just want to get on with ou r lives.
i'm working in something thats not in my area of work, i work on a private yacht and i feel like a slave the majority of the time, and i just want to get back and work in my thing

we got the same email on june 4th...i think its jut to let us know that the papers arrived...the 12months waiting time are the average time that is posted in the website...oh well we`ll just keep waiting i guess

well my latest update:

We sent the requested papers and we just got an email stating that they received everything and that we are in process for final reviewing.
I also got an ecas update. For the first time i got an IN PROCESS since July 22,2011.

Almost there...almost there ;D

loll.. in process since July 22 2011! only 1 year later they show it... not too bad.. ! : Other VO they get in process after a few weeks.. argh!! did they already asked you for your passport? What were those papers they requested? Well congrats! Its been almost a year that you are waiting so they dont have the choice to move! Dont give up! (i still hope that it doesnt take a year for us cause i miss my husband so much.. )

I am sure you will get yours real soon!!!!no they have not requested the passport yet because we still have one document (probably will be ready mid august)to hand in. But I am psyched because my husband is coming to help us settle in Canada. We got his TRV so we will all be reunited in a couple of weeks after 6 months of being a part.

I know it is hard...try to keep busy and THANK GOD FOR SKYPE....LOL if it was not for this we (myself and kids) would have not survived being away for so long!

Thanks! I hope for you too that it will be finished soon! Was it hard to get his TRV? we are about to ask for it maybe in September if nothing moves and im worried cause he got refused once before.. do you know what happens if he gets his passport request when he is in Canada? (my head is full of questions sorry!)
