this Indian passport sharing across US to Canada is very confusing . I am dying with the same situation ....
I got ppr last week holding Indian passport in USA ...
Too many confusion , some say you can send and some say illegal ....
Already gone through lot of struggles . so at last requested for Visa office change to USA ... I sent email , CSE 3 days back , still no response from CIC ..... I even emailed to embassy in USA , no reply .... I am really tired now ... donno what to do ...

Don't keep waiting for too long. If you do not hear back from them for 3 or 4 days, go ahead and submit as per instruction. As others suggested, CIC would not have asked to submit to CAnada if it's illegal. Am sure some thought process must have gone behind this.

I got my PPR on Feb 22 and sent my passports to CIC on Feb 23 rd. They reached to Ottawa on Feb 24th. Finally I joined this thread. May I know what is the average time for Passports to be returned.

Looks like the average time is 3 weeks.

Can you pls share your timelines? when did your passport reached Ottawa?

Taken photos yday in Walgreens ... If i didn't hear from them by mid of next week , i will go ahead and send the pp to Ottawa .

Good for you. CPC received my passport on Feb 11 and I still have no update. Congratulations!!

how long its going to get my passports back..

i came to canada in year sept,2013 as student so it will be almost 2.6 as of today.. so will this be counted as 2 years before PR ?

8 out of 10 people got their passport and copr within 14 days including myself. And talking about bill c24 act it still going through a review so hopefully whatever our new immigration minister said will become a law.

What it says is that it counts upto a year before PR as half a day and your total days need to add up to 3 years before Citizenship application. So you would still need 2 years as a PR anyway.

Passports were received on Feb 15.
Now waiting for tracker activation
