You can do stamping with consulting company if you are on project. If you go embassy with client letter and stamping should not be problem.

Thanks lettuce_tomatoes & surenderjeet for your advise. I am kind of going with the same thought of just waiting untill i get PPR.

the only advantage going now would be that currently i am fulltime with a american company. the company is upto out-sourcing and may lay off some people. in that scneario, if i did not get PPR untill then and had to transfer my H1b to a consulting company, stamping from india would be difficult with the consulting company instead of being full time with American Company.

Hi NewHome_Alberta,

Did you send inquiry email to Buffalo to check your status? I haven't done this, but I plan to do so in early January if I still don't get any communications by then.

Good luck.

Hello the
I am also in the same boat as you. I have not received any communication from CIC. I submitted my RPRF fees on August and was cashed on Sept. Medical completed in Aug 15.

I would suggest use Caps notes to know exact status.

Hello Dilse, Do you work for a consulting company or a non-consulting business? My file was transferred to NY on October 19, Medicals received in July. I sent an inquiry to NY office, and I received a reply that my application is under review by an Immigration Officer. My ECAS status with "medicals received" was updated in a week after file transfer. So, far I haven't received any communication for NY. I did send a bank statement with my cic application that showed a significant savings. Plus, my Visa stamping and I-759 was from a reputed company. I am not sure if such documents play any part in additional request for employment verification from CIC.
I work for non-consulting complany.
I didn't send any bank statements or w2 or tax form with application as wasn't required for Alberta Nomini progg.

Well let's see what else they need before we see Pass port request.

CAIPS is acronym for Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System. It is part of the Electronic Data Processing (EDP) system used by the Canadian Immigration offices to process visa applications. Information entered in the system from application forms and supporting documentation submitted by applicants for immigrant and visitor visas, returning residence permits and student and employment authorizations.

It will have valuable information on the processing of your Canadian permanent residence application.

Requesting the entire immigration file may not be suitable for all applicants, please consider carefully before making a request. If you find yourself in the following circumstances then you should consider obtaining your file;

1.Immigration application has been rejected, refused or denied
2. Want to know the details of your medical examination
3. Want to know the details of documents that have been submitted with your application
4.Application is taking unusually long (CAIPS notes advised)
