Are you from the Philippines? Did you submit a work permit application for a job that is exempt of LMO or a high skilled job?

I am from the Philippines. My employer is really in need if me asap. I submit my appliction online last Jan 27, 2014. With my job offer, contract from employer and approval letter from trade office alberta government. Thats good that your application is approved less than 3 months. Kindly tell me some info or idea

Do you have an LMO?

Your employer will apply your LMO from HRSDC.
And if it will approved your employer will send it to you.

About approval letter from trade office alberta government.
I don't have much knowledge about that.

Maybe some profession are LMO exempted.
What is you profession anyway. (NOC)

If you submitted you apps last January 27, 2014.
Maybe after 2 months you will have an update.

Just keep update.

Maybe our senior forum mates has knowledge about the letter from Alberta. (FKL, PMM, Scilla, BigBee)
My destination also Alberta.

Following link explains who is exempted from an LMO. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-who-permit.asp

In general if you are the principal applicant (not a dependent or a student), you have to get an LMO.

Post DOC jobs also do not require an LMO.

Also if you are already nominated for PR by a province, then you don't need an LMO.

Otherwise, it is a requirement.

I have no clue about this "approval letter from trade office alberta government". I suspect that it could be an LMO the OP is talking about.

Does this document have a number on top? Does it say "Labor Market Opinion" any where?

I am a Welder. Its an LMO exempt job under the Government of Alberta Pilot Project. Applying for TFW too, but I put others on the type of permit, not the open work permit.

I have an Approval letter from Trade Alberta Enterprise and Advance Education under The Apprenticeship and Industry Training who regulates trade jobs.

NOC code for Welder: 7265

My wife is in Canada now. My employer sent email to the embassy for request to at least expedite the process coz projects are put onhold. Did the embassy sent you an email for medical, nbi and passport request or they sent you a letter by mail? Did they call your previous employer?

I am really praying that it will not take that long

Yes, you correct you put OTHERS on type of Work Permit.

But on Government of Alberta Pilot Project and, Trade Alberta Enterprise and Advance Education under The Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
My knowledge here is limited. But since you got an approval letter from the Government of Alberta maybe.

I goggle the link the FKL gave it to You, seems you are under at that program.

The CE Manila email me and asked my NBI and send it thru drop box. It surprised me and no message listed on MyCIC. Other than this all message were all came from MyCIC.

I will go to POEA TUe for PDOS. I already send the POLO to my employer for signing.
I will go alone. Gods will they will follow me soon.

But there is no letter requesting for passport. How long does it take usually after the medical to receive the passport request and/or visa?

It could be 15 days to a month. I am not sure about status "passed" means they have approved the medicals, or just that medical report has been "passed" i.e. received. So it might take longer if they have issues with report. Be patient.

On my application TFW, I've done my medical 23rd Jan, 2014 then on Jan. 29 changed to passed. Maybe the medical is ok and or the CIC alreday received your medical. Then on the 12 Feb. 2014 I got my PPR. Pls. Check my timeline.

Thanks God, I received email from CIC requiring me to get my medical exam. Very excited. will go to Cebu Doctors clinic to do the medical exam four days from now. Need to get myself ready.

I am still waiting for my wife's ppr. The week has just started, I am keeping my hopes high. You should do the same, if you have not already received the ppr. It normally takes 15-30 days, so have patience IA ho jaye ga
