Just got both SA and AIP today. Inland October 29th application. Just a quick question, we got the BGC end of August and she is from the states, it is correct that her BGC is done through FBI? Do I need a BGC myself also? I've submitted the FBI BGC through the portal link that was provided from the BGC request.

You will not need a BGC

Now that the sponsorship application has been approved, do I get the PR card by mail or what?
What are the next steps? And how do I update the address that's registered with the IRCC?

That's good news! I am October 30th. Was your BGC started in August? Could you please provide your timeline?

OWP was included in the original application and received in February. Medical was requested July 28th, passed August 17th, the BGC was requested August 18th. It still says it is in progress.

We are in that exact situation: Oct 22 applicant, SA/AIP received on Sept 8, received request for PCC from home country on July 22 (when did you receive the request?).

We sent the documents to the home country for the PCC to be processed (on July 23) but they have not yet arrived

So I guess we will keep each other company on this part of the process...
Hi there Conaider!

Good to see someone in the same boat as us

Here is our timeline:
Application sent: 11 Oct 2019
Acknowledgement of Receipt: 14 Nov 2019
Medicals Requested: 24 Feb 2020
Medicals Passed: 31 Mar 2020
Mexican Police Certificate Requested: 29 April 2020
Confirmation of Received fingerprints/photos for PCC at Canadian HC in CDMX: 14 May 2020
Sponsor Approval
: 28 August 2020
Approval in Principle: 28 August 2020 (But says "no decision will be made while we are still processing")

So basically we are almost done, but because the PCC has still not been received by IRCC,they cant proceed any further

I heard that the FGR actually restarted processing when the quarantine was lifted around July but it is the Canadian HC that is causing the delay by not processing the incoming files. Don't know if this is true or if you heard something similiar

Yeah, that's what some people in another thread were saying.. for now I am dealing with Correos de Mexico because they have not yet delivered the documents our documents  At this point we are thinking of just getting the fingerprints and photos done again and re-send by FedEx or so.

Hopefully your PCC gets processed soon!

Assuming you also have AIP, you will receive DM and a COPR PDF letter via GC Key. This letter may ask you to print and send in to IRCC with 2 new PR card photos. From there you just have to wait for your PR card (which are taking 3-4 months, currently). If you do not receive a request for new photos, then just sit tight and wait for your PR card.

You can change your address via ECAS. I'm sure there's other ways, but this is the one that comes to mind the quickest.

Hi can I ask when your background checks started?
According to the spreadsheet (line 53), their background check started 2/23/2020.

@sbkind, please correct me if I'm wrong!

Hi, In my case, my application was complete and became a PR resident. But they didnt send me the COPR and asking for 2 photos. I called them 4 times. Twice they mentioned for me that the etobicoke office sent to whoever is responsible to process my PR CARD and other 2 agents told me you should receive the COPR. So im just waiting now for the PR Card and hopefully they send with it my COPR with it via mail.

ECAS says they started processing my application on August 29, 2020, does it mean I have a long waiting to get approval?

What is your timeline; when was your application submitted?
