Hey Guys,
Can someone update the tracker for me with the following ECAS Update:
"We sent you a notice on September 21, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on October 10, 2018 at 9:31 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment."
Oath Location: Scarborough
BTW, anyone have any experience with parking at Chinese Cultural Centre Of Greater Toronto, 5183 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1B 5Z5?

Had my test at Scarborough on the 28th this month. Test was a breeze and so was the interview. Got a perfect score. I was only asked about my current job. Documents and certificates were verified. It was a pleasant experience as the gentleman was very polite and professional. He said I could expect the oath date in 2-3 months.

Oct 2017 applicantion, still no test invite ... Mississauga office: I hope I will never have to deal with you again for the rest of my life lol
IN a few days I'll be one year and still waiting for the damn test invite. I'm going to call them soon, but I know their useless answers, "high number of applicants, you will be contacted" and stuff like that. Please share your experience when you call and I will post mine too as soon as I call them. Doesn't look like there are a lot waiting for test, it's just a few of us I think. Good luck.
If you still haven't received a test invite - chances are, your application is stuck on a background check.
1) Apply for GCMS notes
2) Contact your MP's office and have them contact IRCC on your behalf
3) The day after 1 year has passed, call IRCC to complain & they can then send a note directly to your processing office. The office or the contact center will then follow up with you.

Nobody can expedite a background check, not even a court. If that's where you're stuck (like me), you just have to sit there and take it.
That's not strictly true - it depends on why the application is stuck. There are several things that can be done to expedite the process - but again, it depends on the reason for the delay.
Finally got my citizenship oath letter for

The time gap between my oath letter and oath is so short only 2 weeks and I'm away from Canada !! Good luck to everyone who is waiting. I know it is a long and frustrating process, I wish you get your letters soon and be done with this process

I just googled it. Use this link to search for it - not sure I can share links here...but the webpage will say - Find a Member of Parliament on the website ourcommons "https://www.ourcommons.ca/parliamentarians/en/constituencies/FindMP"
Normally, you wouldn't get to talk directly to MP but their assistants and they call CIC on your behalf to check what's going on. Ask them to call after your 1 year is passed from application date so CIC doesn't have excuse of saying - 'oh..it's still within 1 year processing time". I will update once I do that and what CIC says. Good luck to all of us.
