We verified the information you provided and can confirm that, following a previous enquiry, an agent took the appropriate actions to follow up on your request on May 07, 2025.

Rest assured that IRCC is making all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible, and that you will be contacted when a decision is made or if additional information is required.

I want to know if either of these two offices is working. It does not make any sense, my application is completely stuck!

@Miss bee, please I need your urgent input on this.

If I have passed Eligibility, criminality, info sharing and remain just security which is yet to start, and IRCC sent MR letter, and panel physician requested for medical furtherance due to TB scare, my question is, while the sputum test is ongoing, will IRCC continue with security or every part

When you have passed eligibility, criminality, and info sharing, but security is still pending and you’re undergoing further medical tests (like sputum testing for TB), IRCC typically places your application in a holding pattern until the medicals are fully resolved. Even though security is a separate stream, it’s common practice for IRCC to wait for the final medical clearance—especially in TB-related furtherance cases—before moving ahead with security and final decisions. So, while they may do some preparatory work, the actual security assessment often doesn’t fully proceed until they receive the final medical results to ensure that admissibility is fully determined. In essence, your application’s security processing is likely paused and will continue only after your medical furtherance is completed and the panel physician clears your health status.

Hey Rubyw i am also PVO WINNIPEG SVO SYNDEY July 2 applicant
Aor Nov 15 Bil Nov 18 Adr Dec 14 Started reviewing March 18 after that no updates

@Miss bee i have a big concern hope you can shed some light on it. I was on close work permit in canada. Got nominated and applied for PR in july 2024. In jan 2025 my work permit expired and i came back to my home country waiting for my PR as i filed an inland application Biometric, medical and info sharing is complete, eligibility and criminality is in progress, security not started as per gcms notes. My question is there is anything to worry about that i dont have any valid work permit or am not working in canada anymore. I am still waiting to hear something from ircc as i can clearly see in my gcms notes that Agent has passed my eligibility saying that i have both intent and ability to settle in my nominated province but Review required notw he put on my file. Should i be worrying about anything. I applied for extension but MPNP wasnt fully satisfied with my job offer and my employer so they neither approved my extension nor rejected. I heared nothing from them since dec 2024

The fact that you’re no longer in Canada on a valid work permit generally doesn’t impact your permanent residence (PR) application itself, especially since you’ve already submitted it and it’s in progress. Inland PR applications typically expect the applicant to be in Canada at the time of applying and ideally during processing, but since you’ve already applied and are now abroad, IRCC usually doesn’t refuse the application solely because you left the country. The “review required” note on your GCMS notes likely means an officer is verifying aspects of your application further—this is common and doesn’t necessarily mean a refusal is coming. Given that your eligibility has been passed and your biometrics, medical, and information-sharing are done, this is positive. Your work permit and employer issues (where MPNP didn’t approve or reject your extension) shouldn’t be a huge problem because the PR application focuses on your original nomination and your declared intent to settle in the province. It’s good that the agent noted your intent and ability to settle. Just ensure that if IRCC reaches out, you respond quickly and provide any new proof of intent to settle if they ask. In short, you shouldn’t be overly worried, but keep checking for updates and stay prepared to provide any additional documents they might request.

@ Miss Bee, please help me in answering the following questions:
In the form IMM 5709 under “Current Country of Residence” section, what date should be entered under the “To” field if the existing study permit has expired, but the applicant is currently under maintained status? The previous study permit was for secondary education, and a new application is now being submitted for undergraduate studies.

Should the “To” date field be left blank, or should we enter the date on which the previous study permit expired?

Thank you for your guidance.
