So when did you find out that your file was transferred on Jan 9. I was under the impression that it must have been transferred long time ago.farrous13 said:

Couple of days ago. I posted the experience on this thread. I originally thought that it was transferred as per what the agent told me. But then was told that it was Jan 09.dear_pnp said:

This delay is affecting us all. Not only emotionally (which is kind of weird, I feel like I am under suspicion, even though I have nothing to hide) but financially (in every applicant's own way).
We have no control over this situation. What really bothers me the most, is that the CIC agents (from my experience) are incompetent and are adamant that the citizenship application takes 25 months. When confronted with the fact that applicants are receiving their oaths in about 8 to 12 months, they right away deny it.
I believe we should be supportive to all applicants. Even after we get our citizenship.

Received yesterday by regular mail, the notice to appear for the citizenship test in 2 weeks in Mississauga.
No RQ request and hopefully I won't be asked for it during or after the interview.

I really appreciate this post Farrous13. You're right that, as individuals, we have very little control over this process. It's difficult that such an important process seems to be so capricious. I don't believe that those of us who have been in the process since 2010, 2011, 2012 resent the relatively speedy progress of newer applications. We all deserve fair and timely processing, May 2013 applicants included! (Now, are we jealous? Maybe...)farrous13 said:
But I do think it's important that we support each other like you said. Many of us who have been in this longer have worked hard to provide resources and advocacy for those of who came after us. We have worked with political parties, worked with advocacy groups, contacted our MPs, contacted MP Kenney, MP Alexander, contacted CIC union leadership, written letters to the editor, given interviews, been profiled in newspaper articles, etc. People don't usually do this just for themselves and their personal cases. They do it because they're concerned about the collective problem and believe that citizenship applicants should be treated fairly and respectfully. My hope is that newer applicants (whippersnappers!) won't write off us old timers, and won't assume that we are less deserving of citizenship because we applied at the wrong time.
And with that, I will stop crashing your thread and let you all celebrate, commiserate and collaborate in peace!
