    MAY 2013 Applications (Citizenship)

Thank you! Interview is pretty much the way other members have posted in this forum. They ask you questions about work, past, family, and they also check the stamps in your passport and ask you about the new ones not previously there.

Taking Child to the Citizenship Test

ASPCAN, Good morning! I'm looking again at my "pink" Important Notice - Please Read page and to begin with now that there's daylight, the page is orange, not pink. It also reads like this: PLEASE NOTE - We recommend that children not accompany you to our office. Children are not allowed in the...

After 36 months: I go for Mandamus! Who else here has hired a lawyer?

Pardon my ignorance, but who or what is Mandamus?

Taking Child to the Citizenship Test

That line in my letter actually comes in a diff. color paper page (pink), "Important Notice - Please Read". I guess it would work bringing someone else to look after your kids in the waiting area, as the other member described one parent staying there looking after the kids while the other did...

There are many posts about that in this forum... Find them and read them!

Taking Child to the Citizenship Test

Here's your answer already, not to mention the invitation to the test letter clearly states "Children are not allowed in the testing room". Like that, in bold and underlined.

    CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP PRACTICE TEST

It's $29 plus taxes, if I remember correctly. I haven't checked out the free one at the library but the one you mention is awesome and all the info in it is updated. You can even verify your mistakes with the Study guide itself as it tells you where the answer is, not just Correct or Incorrect.

    MAY 2013 Applications (Citizenship)

The way they might see you could be one of those "Bonnie and Clyde" things. Meaning, just making sure Bonnie is clean too and not just Clyde. No disrespect at all intended.

"Notice to Prepare for your Citizenship Exam"?

Going for citizenship test in less than 2 weeks now in Mississauga. Received the letter this week and then my e-cas changed to reflect the change next time I checked which was about 5 days later. Best of luck, everybody!

    June 2013 applications

Yes, I didn't want to write that but the very good news is that you are prepared for the infamous RQ request. It's like me, even though I'm going to Mississauga I'm fully prepared to be asked for the RQ or the lighter version of it called "Request for Documentary Evidence of your Residence in...

    June 2013 applications

Since I am from May 31 - June 1, 2013 (month border-liner) I might as well post my timeline here with you, guys and gals: Citizenship Application Status (on e-cas): In Process Received application on: May 31, 2013 AOR: May 31, 2013 Started Processing Application: August 17, 2013 No RQ request...

    June 2013 applications

It really depends on what office you are being transferred in Ontario. If you live in the GTA, the way it seems to be is: People who need RQ = Scarborough or St. Clair People who don't need pre-test RQ = Mississauga. Although it's not confirmed Scarborough or St. Clair are strictly RQ. Just my...

    Letter for citizenship test purple?

It is interesting and a mystery why the diff. colors. Letter color matching diff. versions of the citizenship test makes sense. Especially since someone else who didn't need RQ got a different color than mine, for example.

    MAY 2013 Applications (Citizenship)

This is not good at all for me either. I do not have my previous passport either (I discarded it). I did explain that in written form with my application. I may have the same fate in 2 weeks at my citizenship test. Then again, since I explained that beforehand, I may not?
