After receiving RQ last week, I have received fingerprint request this week in postal mail. This letter is from Toronto office as compared to RQ letter from Mississauga office.

It will take me for ever to gather documents for RQ

What is the best time to contact CIC? I called them few time in last two days and every time they message comes that they are not able to transfer my call due to high volume of call and ask me to try later or go screw urself ;-)

I dialed - 1-888-242-2100 and chose option 4 (Citizenship) and 0 (Speak to Rep).

After choosing English (pressing 1), sounds like you need to choose option 1 (status of application), then option 5 (status of citizenship application), then 1 (to confirm your application was sent before July 22), then you will hear about high volume (also known as screw yourself )

I applied in August, so hearing July 22 = "screw yourself" for me

Wait till 3:45 pm (they work till 4 pm). Once you're on the line waiting, don't disconnect even if it's after 4. They will still take your call if you're in queue.
