Hi all, it is 2nd week of June and my time to file for application has finally arrived. I will send out my application soon bcuz was advised to wait a few more days after 1095 days physical presence in the country.
Everybody is welcome to share their timelines here and hopefully we will get through the process.
At the mean time, the government is pushing through Bill-24 which will have a huge impact on potential applicants. we are fortunate enough to file our application before the new legislation take into full effect.

i am sending NOAs from 2010-2014, and you may send T4s if you still have them at record

In a lots of previous discussions, we debated whether we should just send supporting documents that the application kit asks for. However, i will plan to send tax info, translation of passport stamps that r not in English, even finger print for criminal record check.
a little reminder: Make sure your Passport Photo is STAMPED! I know ppl whose application got returned bcuz of that. You cant afford to make mistakes like that, not if you r trying to submit b4 the new law comes into effect.

Hi All,

Sent my application today morning. It will reach Sydney by Monday. I hope my application won't be affected with the new rules of C-24 bill which is expected to come into effect from July 1st.

Hello All,
I am new in the forum!
I just sent my application with 1098 physical days!
I was to scared to wait with the new bill in the corner!!

I sent all the support documents I could!
the only fear that I have is, I mentioned one french course training, but I don't have documents of that...they said you don't need to send it..
What do you guys think?
I hope I don't get my application returned because of that! Otherwise I would be in the new law requirements!! :'(

My application was received yesterday at CIC office in Sydney.

If photos are not stamped , can we write in our own handwriting, Name , Place & Date photo is taken. I went to India & got photographed there.

Hello All,

I sent my application (Family) on 10th June by UPS and it was received at Sydney the next day. For employment history, I have sent my T4As, NOAs, business registration document (I am an IT consultant), and my time sheets. Hopefully, it will be enough to not receive an RQ. My spouse just provided her T4As, payslips for every 6 mths- she has been with the same company since we moved to Canada. I have been out of Canada for 60 days, Physical presence- 1101 days. I am applying from Ottawa.
I had my photos taken at Walmart- they stamped their studio name & address and also dated them. The CIC website states to "Provide the name of the photographer or the studio, the studio address and the date the photos were taken on the back of the photos"- i guess you can write, that's what i can interpret.

Today I have contacted the CIC and the agent told me that no one knows what will be the effect of the new regulation as he told me the CIC may go retrospective and consider all the applicants during this year as new and may be affected by the new regulations
