Marry a professional or take the french exam? :o

Is there anyone here tried applying for the new FSW with less than the 67 points? I'm just confused because why would they post in their website that even those who scored less than the passmark may still apply? They didn't indicate specific supporting documents needed.

is there any hope for this kind of situation? even if you can supply the necessary funds needed? :(

for this concern, its their way of assessing if you are qualified to apply. so thats why they have their asssessment... so if you can't score 67 and up. then you can't apply...

What about the statement in their website?

If your score is lower than the pass mark, you are not likely to qualify to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker. We recommend that you do not apply at this time.

However, you can still apply if you believe other factors would show that you are able to establish yourself in Canada and support your dependants. Send a detailed letter with your application explaining why you think you are able to become economically established in Canada. Include any documents that support your claim.

wow nice... a lot of good news here ;D

congrats imbubbles, pamazana, kanebo and albert_alo!!!!... so happy for you guys... the gate of canada is now welcoming you with a huge smile...

hope we will be next ;)... God bless

Hi, I'm new here. I've been studying the instructional guide for FSW. upon self assessment I did not reach the 67 points.

here are the details:

Education= 20
age= 10
Language= (*about to take IELTS general module= aiming for 16 points)
Work Experience (2 years and ongoing as staff nurse)= 17
Adaptability= 0
Arranged Employment=0

Total: 63

I am capable of providing the needed proof of funds.

I am still eager to submit my application after taking the ielts this year because I read in the website that I can still apply with points less than the 67 passmark, I just need to prove the I can be economically established in Canada and provide documents for my claim. My question is, what specific documents are those?

I am also aware that I do not get points for having a (first degree) cousin in Ontario but will that help me with my application? My cousin is willing to let me stay until I am able to take the CRNE in Ontario after being approved for PR.

Please I need your advice regarding my situation before I continue further with my application.

Thanks and God bless!

Hi...

If you can get permanent job from Canada you can gain additional points via Arrange Employment Opportunity.

Congratz to all who had just received their decision made..Truly an inspiration.

Until this date, I havent sent my application yet to CIO as I want to make sure that docs needed are complete.
This october pa lng ako mag 1 year sa work ko as a clinic/lying in nurse.
Pano ba tlaga ang assessment sa Education , hindi ba ang assessment ay ang total number of years ng education?

1) I have 6 yrs - elementary
4 yrs - HS
4 yrs - BSRT
2 1/2 - BS Nursing
1 yr - Masteral (6 mnths equivqalent) of Full time education
____________________________________
Total : 17 yrs of full time education?

2) also what if Im employed in our own lying in clinic for 1 year ? Kasi family business yun eh , ang general manager is my sister in lawr (OB-GYNE ).. Should I submit the business permit? others papers which prove the license to operate?

Thanks to those who can provide inputs :)
Good luck to us :)

have you completed your masters already? if not, 16 years only. in my opinion, they dont give credit if you dont get the degree.
