Hi everyone, looking for some reassurance from anyone who has been in a similar situation!

I am an Express Entry applicant from France. I applied in october 2025, scored a CRS of 555 and went through the entire PR process, I received my COPR yesterday and I'm absolutely overjoyed!

One thing that worries me though is that for some reason it's written on my COPR: my destination province as "ON" and destination city as "Ottawa" (which is what I originally put in my profile months ago on their free "move to canada" help service, not even my IRCC application). However, plans have changed. I got a remote job, found a great appartment, and bought a non-refundable flight directly to Calgary, Alberta (YYC) for mid-September.

I applied under the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) stream, and my COPR clearly states my category is SW1. I asked multiple AI chatbots and they all tell me it's fine to land in Calgary as my final destination since I'm a FSW and that my right of moving provinces is a constitutional right.

I'm worried that the CBSA agent might deny me entry when I fly from Paris to Calgary when they see that there is this mention of Ottawa and Ontarion on my COPR.

I sent an IRCC webform to ask them if it would be a problem , but I only received a generic automated email linking to a bunch of web resources.

Any shared experiences of landing in a different province as an FSW would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!
