how about you migo, have you submitted you application to sydney?

Hi. started processing of my application by CIC-MANILA last July 8,2008
Received letter from CIC last Jan. 12, 2009 asking me to update/accomplish documents such as FBI, NBI, New set of applications, IELTS result and proof of funds as they are ready to process my application. My occupation belongs to the 38 list that was recently announced.
Now I am in the process of accomplishing all the requested documents and schedule to take the IELTS this March 7.

I am applying on my own. Yes I will have the bank draft made at BPI Alabang.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR IELTS. you wont have dificulty getting a 16, i'm sure. we have the advantage of using english in school from grade 1 to college.

Question regarding NBI Clearance, do i need to have it stamped by DFA or just the original copy? I am an OFW working abroad and still I need police clearances on all the countries I worked for more than 6 months (Glad I only need Qatar and Saudi).

Hi, I just submitted full application to Buffalo and sent original NBI clearance with no DFA stamping. Are you referring to embassy authentication of document for those residing abroad? Or is it some other DFA stamping I am not aware of?

As I have not read anywhere this requirement for DFA stamping, it has not crossed my mind to get this done. Now you made me think if it is necessary.

Those whose files have been processed should be in a better position to advice us. Anyone?

Hello...in 2006 when I am applying for a visa in Qatar, they required that my NBI should have a red ribbon seal by the DFA but what I am not sure is the the specific requirement of the visa office who will process our application...in my case LONDON..in their instruction...it does not specify anything about the DFA red ribbon for our documents...it also confused me with the Transcript of Records (TOR) in a university sealed envelope....because i already have the TOR with red ribbon (part of the package is the diploma and the certificate of graduation...i am planning to attach the one in red ribbon plus the TOR in sealed envelope and the notarized Certificate of Grad and Diploma....

what did you do with the other documents? Appreciate your help..

Hi, I just recently forwarded all my documents to London. After one week, i got my AOR. I have submitted all the required docuemtns including an NBI with purpose "canada visa" and police clearance here in qatar. take note that Qatar CID does not require NBI to secure police clearance. You jus have to go to their office with your passport copy visa and 2 picture with blue background. For Saudi police clearance, this requirement is waived as s\ksa does not issue police clearance. hope this helps kabayan. I am here in qatar also...

kabayan in Qatar...thanks for your response...actually i am currently working in Saudi and my police clearance in qatar was already expired...could you assist me in knowing how to renew it since the application specifically mention that you have to submit an updated police clearance? I am planning to visit qatar on a visit visa to renew it but im afraid they will ask for something like my police certificate in saudi in which i am working...
