Here's my case
I have applied under FSW Class on July 25, 2008 thru the assistance of a broker/ representative using the Simplified Application Process. I received the file number thru my representative on September 1, 2008. Then, on April 2009 I received an update of my CAS stating

"We started processing your appication on August 25, 2008.
We transferred your application to the Sydney, Nova Scotia C50 office on March 16, 2009.... office may contact you."

And after a while, it was later updated to
"We received your application for permanent residence on August 1, 2008."

I am confused on this. My NOC is listed 0122 (Manager) on my application as advised by my representative but I worked as Manager in a Financing Company for 2 years in addition to 3 years of Bookkeeping in same company. Am I eligible for for the urgent NOC list needed?

Does my application form, in any way, affect the result of my status? Since the application form used by my representative is the Simplified Application Process (SAP) but during the time of the application, the new guideline was already in effect which is the use of the Generic Application Form (IMM0008).

Since then, I have not received any status update on my CAS. What will I do at this point of my application? Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi Viba, Jandi, and Gabs,
Good News! My ecas status is already "In Process". They have started processing my application last Oct. 1. Hopeful that my medical request is on its way!
Jandi, hope your status is also in process na para magkasabay na tayo.. : )

Hi Ebsonjohn, I wanted to help you but I'm not familiar with the simplified process. Have you received already letter from Nova Scotia stating that your job is eligible for processing? Have submitted full documents to Embassy of Manila?
I'll try to browse the website and see if I could help your case.

God Bless!

Hi,
Above are the list of NOC's eligible for processing under the new rules. You can read more details in this link - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp

If you are a Finance Manager then your NOC should be 0111. If your consultant used the NOC 0122, most likely it will be rejected becuase it is not in the 38 list.

You applied after the new law was passed (Feb 27, 2008), but before the ministerial instructions (38 list) which came out on Nov 28, 2008. That was a provisional file number that was given to you, but it was not yet known if it was eligible for processing. When ministerial instructions came out, the local visa office gave a benefit of the doubt that you might be eligible for processing that is why they forwarded your file to Nova Scotia who is responsible to screen and decide if your are eligible or not under the new rules.

IDN, Kagabi kausap ko ang mga seniors na sila PMM, maple, NewYorker and I learned that sending e mail enquiries while time lines are within the normal period specified will indeed delay the processing but not with CAIPS.

Kumusta na ang pag inquire mo kung kailangan ka bang mag appear for interview? For many, interview waived notice is included in the medical/rprf request. Pero pwede rin na waived ang interview mo nakaligtaan lang ng IO banggitin sa letter na natanggap mo.

If in case mag interview ka nga, I would advise you to order CAIPS.

Praying for it.

God Bless

Hi Viba,
I appreciate the information you gave, thanks! Lapit ka na pala, done na with the medical. I'm happy for you! : )
Do we really need to renew green passport? Husband ko kasi green passport pa but expires in 2011.
More Blessings to you!

Hi CPA2CANADA and Aspire,
I don't think they will delay processing because of email inquiry. I myself email them when my AOR does not indicate date of letter. My friend also email Manila embassy because she haven't received yet her medical letter. Embassy emailed her in return and told her that medical request letter was sent already. I guess if beyond timeline already it is reasonable to email them.
