thanks for the info kiko!i think i really should start with my credentials evaluation.clarification lang, so if i apply for rn evaluation most likely marerefuse ako because i need to have the bridging program muna.if that is the case, then i need to reapply for rpn and pay another fee?
i have 2 barcoded applications from cno right now, un 171cad and 600+cad.of course i will be using the cheaper one.kya lng i dont know which one to choose, rn or rpn?tnx.
you have lots of time, apply for an assessment for RN, but then they will ask you to pay an additional $13.08 for the tax difference nagbago kasi nung july 1, HST na.... eventually naman kailangan mo yung assessment for nurses kasi u cant do bridging program on your own dapat may instruction from CNO. so yung sa rpn, u can do it later pag meron ka ng assessment number... that way, maiiwasan mo mag work as PSW... kasi pag dating mo dito exam ka na agad ng RPN... gives u more money, and less competition, konti lang din kasi rpn dito..

hi po,
mabuti pa kayo patapos na mga papers nio..pa advise naman po..
nag apply ako nung april 2010 tapos po mayroon na akong notice of assessment nagun (a.k.a. "AOR")
paano ko po isasali asawa ko sa application? nagpakasal po kami just this june... saan po ako magbabayad ng processing fee? sa embassy manila po ba or sa Receiver general in Canada?
sana po matulungan nio po ako... :)

Hi chinay,

I think you should inform the visa office and ask them what are the next steps para ma-include yung spouse mo in your application then raise mo na din question regarding dun sa payment of the processing fee. you can email the visa office for faster response.

maharlika,

you're doing the right thing. let me give u an overview. ang minimum wage dito sa ON is $10.25, un ung sa McDo etc... for students actually not a serious one. next the lowest in the food chain (sa healthcare) is yung PSW parang CNA sa US, they get about $14-$18 per hour, pero dapat may BLA or ALS ka, so if you have certificates, bring them with you. PSW lang muna inaaplayan namin dito kasi kakahintay sa assessment na yan. next, RPN mga $22-$24 per hour ang starting, with the salaray, u can buy a car and pay for the rent, u can send your show money back to where it came from (if nanghiram ka lang)... next is RN (now this one is tough, they'll make sure you'll get a hard time qualifying for this. reason: we only have 10 yrs basic education and the canadians have 12). 29 dollars sa homes starting 30 plus sa hospital. yung pinsan ko na kalaro ko lang nung araw, 24 y/0 pa lang $42 per hour! she has a nice JEEP patriot.. anyway, now, since mahirap magpa assess ng RN and kelangan ko na mag work, pinalipat ko ung assessment ko from RN to RPN, it cost me about $470. just think about it... mahirap mag PSW, back breaking work un...

kiko

thanks for the info kiko...matanong ko lang ano ba talaga trabaho ng RPN...PSW kasi parang caregiver dito sa atin(paligo, pakain, ambulation)...gusto ko rin sana malaman kung magkano at how months ang bridging program...for me kasi its better to do the bridging program kasi parang canadian education na rin yun and it will give you a good orientation sa hospital setting sa Ontario...wow CAN $42! maganda future ng pinsan mo...

alam ko mas madali magparegister as RN sa Alberta and Saskatchewan

this is very true po. i have a batchmate sa saskatchewan siya. dito pa lng sa philippines he started working on his credentials evaluation. when he arrived there last march, general nurse ang position nya sa hopital and last june he took the crne and fortunately passed. so now rn na po cya doon.mhigpit po tlga sa cno, we have to do bridging program muna before exam.im just not sure on how long po un bridging program.

its like this, PSW reports to the RPN's, rpn's job is to report to the doctor and give meds and paper works (in the absence of a RN). basically lahat ng labor work sa PSW, taht's why hesitant ako mgwork... hehehehe
