Like i have stated many times, these batch requests are used to further delay the processing of applications, you will notice in the email it states to send the documents within 30 days, which gives ottawa 30 more days to delay processing and then after which they will most likely send another generic batch email regarding the FBI Clearance. If these applicants who applied in May and June order notes they will see none of the checks have started yet they are getting batch document request. They are sending all these letters out without actually picking up and looking at the file. The fact they are requesting the same document they ask for 2 months ago finally shows that my app is "in process" For all the people that received the email today, would not look too much into it unless you want to get your hopes up, but hopefully I am wrong but am confident this is the new standard operating procedure as is the updating on "in process" in ECAS due to the call centre being slammed with updates on application statues.

I'm not sure it's intentional on their part to further delay the process...I think they just outsmarted themselves. I think they thought they would clear up certain common requests this way (for instance I've seen people say they still needed to pay the final fees after having received the generic email) when in reality it's creating a ton more follow up on applications that don't need anything new and probably creating additional havoc at the call center. And maybe they thought some communication that showed "progress" was better than none, but this sure isn't the way to do it. They really should just go back to the old system.

Finally went to DM this morning!! I'm a January 2015 applicant from the states. Ugh, FINALLY!

I don't know if this will be helpful, but around August 24 we got an e-mail requesting our RPRF and proof the sponsor was living in Canada, and sent those in on August 31. So timeline:

Aug 24: Request for more information
Aug 31: Sent in more information
Oct 20: DM

So it took about 2 months for us to get a DM after the doc request

I got the request in September - can't remember the exact day and I'm at work and can't check...I think it was around the 22nd. But I could be mixing that up with the day I got my notes.

I think I should be getting DM soon, got an email confirming they are conducting the eligibility portion but cannot finalize it until my partner send in the option c printout or her most recent t4 which is odd because i sent the option c with the package which means they lost it. My medicals are passed so once I get confirmation I need to send in the option C or t4 i dont think DM is too far away.

Wow - I couldn't believe my eyes when I checked ECAS today and finally saw 'Decision Made'!!! We are December 2014 applicants with permanent resident a New Zealand/Argentine citizen and with one child - we had not heard a word from Ottawa since our application was transferred to Ottawa (instead of Sydney) after sponsorship approval. No document requests or anything prior to 'Decision Made'. Keeping our fingers crossed!!!

So...not sure what this info about our 'Decision Made' status is worth as many people on this list seem to be gauging the progress of applicants who either received some sort of document request and/or who applied many months later than us. However, I guess any sign of progress from Ottawa is a good thing...following this forum and seeing people progress through the different stages at different rates has certainly kept our spirits up over the past few months.

We received a request Aug 25 and went IP around the same date. Applied in Feb 2015.

In Process shows up in eCAS: August 14
Generic Doc. Request: September 23
Medical Received shows up in eCAS: October 23

I've found it helpful recently with all the new CIC procedures or whatever to see when people did get asked for those generic documents or if they went IP right after or day of their SA. Things definitely feel all over the place.

Just want to join the chorus of folks here who received the batch email this morning.

We actually do have a change in that we were married last weekend, so will wait to respond until our marriage certificate has arrived (probably in 2 weeks from now). Otherwise, we'll be following the same path most of you seem to be taking-- a couple paychecks from my wife/sponsor to prove she's living in Canada, a utility bill/bank statement or two, and a note saying that the police cert and medical were sent with the original application.

Congrats to everyone with a DM, and batch request too! For those asking to compare to others' timelines, I received the intent to reside letter July 30 and had a DM September 26, so about 2 months. I never received a second batch letter asking about police checks. My COPR only took 6 days to arrive from the day they mailed it. Best of luck everyone.
