We received this email just now as well, requesting Medical, RFPR, FBI, and sponsor's proof of residence.

I'd rather be safe than sorry so I'm going to collect some recent bills and paystubs showing I am still in Canada. The rest I am just going to specify that it was supplied in my initial application.

I finally got the third line in ecas stating "medical results have been received."

Looks like DM soon ;D

I actually have no extra proof to return to Canada so I am writing them outlining what I sent in the original application. Will just wait and see what they have to say!

Its extremely silly , i got this email 2 months ago and shot over a utility bill, I think now they are actually processing my file as I was requested with the same request from an actual visa officer today, they had a signature under the email. So I really think these are generic batch letters that they send to pretty much everyone, and everyone that is sent these emails are processed in the same batch. It is highly unlikely any of the people who have gotten these emails today , there files have been looked at but when looked at all these people will be processed in the same batch.

Like I said, I don't how these generic email are helping at all - in fact they are probably making the processing situation worse. People are sending things they don't need to be sending because it was in the original application, asking people who have never resided outside of Canada for proof they live in Canada, etc. All those replies need to be looked at, not to mention the people that are panicking and sending everything all over again or asking a million questions. Can you imagine not having a resource like this forum and getting that email and what you'd think? That's probably the majority of applicants...

Just sent my spouse's most recent hydro bill, most recent pay stub, proof of employment, and signed lease.

Why they would just ask for that in the original application is beyond me. The CIC really seems to like to increase their workload.

For those of you who've received the email and submitted the information, are you still waiting for DM? (Or, if you received it, how long after you got the email did you see DM?) I'm going to assume my application is still at least a month or two out from that easily.

We applied in January this year, while we still lived in Birmingham in the UK. Because of all the back log at London they sent our application to ottawa. We moved over to canada in July to live with my mum while we waited for the visa.

We did answer all the emails but we did the medicals and police up front. We also got my mum to sign a letter saying it was go for us to live with her while we wait for the visa and gave them all our canada bank details to prove we had funds.

Plus because I a canadian I just got a job here and my husband took the summer off

It seems like we've got a lot in common - sponsoring British citizen, moved to Canada in July and have been staying at a relative's so far. However, it has almost been a year for us since we applied and still waiting.

Please let us know as soon as your COPR arrives, so as to get an idea of how much it takes for COPR to be delivered within Canada.

Like i have stated many times, these batch requests are used to further delay the processing of applications, you will notice in the email it states to send the documents within 30 days, which gives ottawa 30 more days to delay processing and then after which they will most likely send another generic batch email regarding the FBI Clearance. If these applicants who applied in May and June order notes they will see none of the checks have started yet they are getting batch document request. They are sending all these letters out without actually picking up and looking at the file. The fact they are requesting the same document they ask for 2 months ago finally shows that my app is "in process" For all the people that received the email today, would not look too much into it unless you want to get your hopes up, but hopefully I am wrong but am confident this is the new standard operating procedure as is the updating on "in process" in ECAS due to the call centre being slammed with updates on application statues.

Actually they want it within 45 days in this email, not 30. So the delays are increasing even more!

I'm responding to the email and providing a few more paystubs for my sponsor, and indicating that everything else is already in the application.

I sure hope this isn't just a way for them to gain more time, like jamsham12 stated. I'm hoping it's just sent out as a reminder and to clear anything up if something has changed.

Anyone who has been in a similar situation: Does medical received appearing on my application indicate a decision made soon as it's been many months since processing started (Beginning of May)?

My ECAS has been showing Medical Received since it was transferred to Ottawa back in July, so it doesn't necessarily mean anything is happening regarding DM.

I received the same batch email this morning! Honestly, I'm relieved that I got anything addressed to me, even if it's a batch email.
