Yeah , especially because it's been a LOOOOONG time for me. I'm going tor get the photocopy of the darn thing and hopefully get it sent off tomorrow and who knows how long this will take. I'm going to write on it that my medicals expire 3/25 ( they were extended already) so please don't drag your feet. Hopefully, it takes just weeks not months. Have you sent yours back yet? If so, what address did you send yours to? There's one listed on there but the way it was worded I want to double check.

Sorry for a late reply, I was busy. I sent mine back last week, they received it on Monday. Since I did this through contacting MP, I got a real address instead of PO Box, and a number of officer to whom it should be delivered. The address is the same as the one on the return envelope, just with addition of floor and section where it is intended to go.

Although I did include a cover letter explaining I have to land by February 3rd and wrote big black URGENT on the envelope, and had it sent to a real person, they didn't send it back this week. I am hoping next week is the one...

So sick of this.is their job really that difficult?im in Canada,I have job offers, but Im not allowed to work.

It cost over a grand to apply, and for that, you don't even get a phone number that you can talk to an actual person about your application.

So sick of checking my status everyday only to see "application received" day after day.
What is the hold up?what is so difficult about this?
I'm so frustrated with this whole process.

The irony is if we had been lucky enough to have been held in Mississagua we would have likely been done months ago. It's kind of driving me nuts seeing people who applied mid October getting their COPR already.

Tell me about it.

It's ok, I totally understand. I'm absolutely freaking out , their website says '6 months' !!!! They want me to land by March 25 or my meds expire as does my CSQ. Do you think I could use the same address? Or did your MP say it was for you specifically? I might include that as an explanation as I really don't want to have to pay for them again as the original four month delay was on their part not mine. So if not for that, I wouldn't need them to rush this. I've already spent so much money and time on this.

Yeah to be fair you've had it a lot worse than us!

Aww, I hate to sound as if I'm having a pity party though but geez, I'm having bad luck.

In your case, I would use the address from the envelope (if you used xpress post like me, they attached a sticker with address on it). The address I got from MP was the same as the one on the sticker, with the addition of floor and section, so you can't go wrong. Add URGENT somewhere on it, and then insert an explanation letter with your CoPR.

You are still in better state than me, since I need to land in like 2 weeks and still don't have my CoPR, although it was their mistake in the first place...

Oh good lord!! I'd be a wreck. I'll do that. I hope my medical expiry is enough as I really don't want to have to do them again. I mean I don't need it as soon as you do but 2 months is better than 6. But I'm going to try to avoid it.

All I have is the brown envelope they sent the COPR in and the address they showed online. I'm just afraid it'll get misfiled again and I don't want to leave it to chance. That's why I wanted to double check the address as I want to xpresspost with signature required. Thanks for everything.

All it says on my envelope, that the COPR came in, is the address to CPC-Ottawa stamped on the back. But I'll figure it out. I hope. Sorry to keep bothering you.

You are not bothering me, I completely understand you, I am just not at the computer all the time. I sent you a private message.

I don't have a problem with another medical, since I already did one for extension of stay, but I am afraid they would ask another criminal check, and for that I would have to leave Canada to go to my home country to get. I am praying to get my CoPR next week, or to at least get an extension for medical and criminal, but at least our MP said they would contact Ottawa again if I don't get it a week before landing deadline, since it was Ottawa's mistake. It does not help with my nerves though >:(

I don't blame you at all. My heart goes out to you. I don't like this at all for any of us.

So far I know three people that recently got wrong CoPR, you, me, and the lady whose CoPR I received with mine. I am hoping this was because we were approved around holidays (although that is no excuse) and there won't be any more.

That was my guess. That and the new hires, I'm told, receive little to no training before they start handling cases. Ottawa needs a phone number since the call center can't help you as it's technically outside Canada so you have to call your visa office but you can't with no phone number listed. I probably could have fixed this before if there was one.

Seems like overall processing time has gone up from around 120-130 days (Application to COPR) to around 180 days now in the last 2 months. They seem to be working on June/July applications at the moment.

Looks like my fiancee and I are waiting 2 more months at least.

We got our gcms notes about a month ago and know they've received all our of requested documents and have read over everything, and my boyfriends medicals expired a few days ago. I wonder why they didn't just make a decision when they looked at the file, it seems like they looked at it, put down, and then forgot about it. They did change our address on ecas which is sort of a good sign I guess...

Good news to my saga folks. It says on my COPR if there are errors like name, passport number etc. to mail it back to the listed address, including an xpresspost envelope for faster processing as they do not reissue them once they expire. So good lord I may be done soon. Fingers crossed.

There have been a few folks with errors on their COPR and it delayed them about a month or two at most to get a corrected one. Hopefully it will be sooner than that.
