There have been a few folks with errors on their COPR and it delayed them about a month or two at most to get a corrected one. Hopefully it will be sooner than that.

Hopefully. I just hope this doesn't get lost or someone sets it down somewhere and doesn't touch it for months. I hope the PO box listed on there is the right address. I've read it three times but lord knows I've had enough trouble already.

Canada post return tracker is not activated yet, can I call 1 888 number check the process?

As I've seen, Ottawa sends CoPR and PP back withing 2-4 weeks. In my case they needed to insert visa into my passport and it was holidays time, so it took about a month. If you sent your PP I assume you need a visa, too, so I would expect them to send it to you within the next 2 weeks. Once they send it you will receive it within 3 days (that's how long it takes for xpresspost, especially if it's weekend). I received it the next day after they sent it, as I am currently In Canada. But this is only approximate timeline from what I've observed on the forum, every case is different.

Once you receive the CoPR, make sure to check everything on it, since a few of us received CoPR with mistakes.

I don't think call center agents can give you any information, but you can try. I am trying for the last hour or so, they say "they are experiencing high volume of calls", so you gotta be lucky to go through...

I just managed to get through to the call center. Basically, since your file is in Ottawa, they can not contact them or check what is the status of your CoPR. You might want to try again yourself, but I wouldn't hope to get any information. Like I said before, I believe you will get your CoPR soon anyways...

Same here, they told me to e-mail CIC, and I told the agent openly that I never get a response when I e-mail them, even when I write urgent. She went silent, then repeated I should e-mail them. So much for being helpful

i don't think so. june and july applicants are still waiting. it seems ottawa is creeping back up to a 7-8 month average.

Didn't the June, July, and Aug applicants have issues with out of date forms though when some forms changed during that time? Perhaps that is why things have slowed down plus the holidays etc.. I think us applicants that filed with the updated forms in Sept may sail through quicker, dunno?

I just got an email yesterday asking for further info so seems they are still on early and mid July apps.

i'm not sure how that would factor in since mississauga checks the application for completeness and files are transferred to ottawa once they are deemed "complete". there's really no knowing why visa offices slow down and speed up except for application volume. watching the general visa office processing since april, there does seem to be some rotation for quick processing. when i first applied, syndey, australia and paris were superquick (3 months), then it changed to ottawa and apps that stayed in mississauga, now it seems vienna is an office that is speeding up. i have no idea if the rotation is "real" or if it's just a random coincidence. unfortunately, we will probably never know. right now, the processing is pretty standard for ottawa, based on 2013 and early 2014 applications prior to the fast tracking seen this summer.

if CIC requested missing/updated forms, then it was most likely BEFORE SA was given. generally, mississagua won't approve the sponsor until the ENTIRE application is considered "complete" and I can't see how an incomplete package would be transferred. it would either be sent back or held in mississauga until completed. Ottawa processes the applications based on the date it was considered "received" by cic. A package wouldn't be considered "received" until it's complete. if anything it would delay the "received" date, and the processing would be longer because of THAT.

Thanks RH Yay that means ours was complete, whew! ;D Gosh we went over it and over it so many times, checking and rechecking and checking again. Guess it paid off, well so far anyhow :-\

And that is what I was meaning about the applications being delayed and not sent off till they were fixed etc.. Anyhow hoping everyone has as fast a process as possible and smooth sailing.
