Hi.. So you use the first AOR from CIC after you pay for the processing fee in EE?

I'm doing this right now too. So we just submit the AOR and write a letter of explanation that we have applied for PR? Do we have to submit any other documents? Like the docs we uploaded for our PR? Also I am assuming the Schedule 1 (IMM5257) thing is optional?

Good day!

My work permit is expired on June 24, 2016. Applied for extension without any document from CIC just to save my work until implied stauts expire.

For instance, if I will get ITA from EE in September 2016 before getting result of my implied status (work permit extension) application, can I use ITA to get new work permit? Can I submit ITA letter or email to existing application of WP extension to save my job?

Or Do I must need AOR to get new permit?

Please clear my confusion about this scenario asap. Also let me know how it works? What are workarounds?

You need to submit your PR application and receive AOR prior to applying for BOWP.

You need to wait until your application passes a completeness check. Once that happens, you're gonna get a decision on your BOWP.

Please help me clear my mind, never been so confused in my life lol. My Post Grade WP has expired on June 18, 2016 and I applied for Bridge Over WP before June 18 without ITA. I did paper application and have not received reply yet. I also score 470 points now and still working full time with an IT co.

1. Am I considered under implied status? (asking because an immigrant consultant told me that my implied status is not valid because I applied BOWP without ITA) And if not, what's the best I should do?
2. Same immigrant consultant also told me that if I receive an ITA now in my current status, I would jeopardize my chance because of above point. Is that true? and don't I still have my 90 days grace period?
3. Also a lawyer suggesting me to apply for close work permit now through him without LMIA. He just needs current job letter. Is that doable?

1. Your implied status is not valid because you're not eligible for a BOWP. To be eligible for a BOWP you not only need to receive ITA but also submit your application and receive AOR. So you probably want to consider stop working because it can jeopardize your PR/any work permit application in the future.
2. You have 90 days grace period but you cannot work during that 90 days! Simply said you're not working legally in Canada as of now.
3. Unless your job is LMIA exempt (very few is) I don't think you can get a closed WP without LMIA.

You can apply BOWP if you already applied for PR.
If you want to buy sometime then afaik you should apply for work permit extension.
there are some people in this forum in similar situation, please contact them.

By the way how many days before the expiry of your pgwp you applied for bowp ?

Sharing my BOWP timeline.

I Submitted my PR application on 3/June and received the first AOR on the same day.
Applied for BOWP on 27/July. I followed the Document checklist according to CIC Website.
Got BOWP approved on 30/August.
I did not receive any updates under Application/profile status on CIC account from the day I applied till it got approved.
Now Application status is "Closed" and Final decision says "This application has been approved".

Thanks for sharing your timeline, @explore. I just applied for BOWP today as there`s not much time left on my current visa, even though my BG status is still in progress and it`s nice to have an idea on the timing!

BOWP approved today! Applied Jun 5, took 20 days in total! Faster than expected!

Hi did you use 2nd AOR from Express Entry when you apply BOWP? Or just the 1st AOR ( automatically sent by the CIC when you pay processing fee) ?
