Hi Guys,

Question - My Work permit will expire on Sept 23rd and I'm applying BOWP this week.
I saw the processing times and it is 33 days.

I'm confused if I get approved by first week of August and i'm not really sure how long it takes for them to send the hard copy (PLEASE ANYONE CAN TELL ME THE TIMELINES TO GET THE ACTUAL HARD COPY BY MAIL ?)

If it surpasses the August 23rd timeline, will I be considered under implied status and can still work at the same company ? Or I have to Quit until I get the hard copy ?

Please advise on these 2 questions.

Hi Harman,

Don't worry.. In implied status you can work legally with your current work permit conditions.. same conditions are applied when you fall under implied status till the time you get the final decision on your BOWP application. and generally hard copy takes between 10-20 days.

Thanks for the reply on the previous Post.

When I try to apply for BOWP online, it is saying " I cannot apply for work permit as I don't have a LMIA" ?

Is it correct ? I thought that is not needed for EE holders.
How can I apply for BOWP with AOR on CIC website ?

Can someone please help me here.
When I answer the questionnaire I have selected that, I am the approved principle for Permanent residency application in canada and Yes I have applied for Permanent residency.

Should I just choose YES for the LMIA ?

PLEASE ADVISE AND HELP IS APPRECIATED... I need to apply ASAP!!

I dont see that section as well in the online application. Does that go with LOE sectio too ?

I submitted it when I was applying to try and get the visa at the same time, but CIC just ignored it and issued work permit only. It's not necessary to submit it.

So is it better to go on BOWP through the EE or CEC process? And secondally has anyone gone on BOWP and then recevied their LMIA and re applied on the EE?

How is the whole process of BOWP works in terms of after applying for it.

I got 2 ghost emails within week of applying and not sure what will happen.

Can someone please tell me how this works ?
For Example - will my status on the online application change to "Medicals Passed" and then later on approved kind of tihng ?

My BOWP application has been approved today. It takes exactly 1 month as I submitted the application on 23 March 2016. Good luck everyone!!
