My husband and I applied for BOWP on Apr.30th by online. And our application was read on May 1st. But after that, there's no change or new message on cic website and no email. It this not good? My husband is the main applicant and his working permit is expired on May 31st.

I read that someone applied May 2nd, but already approved. Why take it so long for ours? T.T
Do I need to call to CIC? It that help? T.T

We applied for CEC immigration in March,2014. I'm a little bit upset. :-[

You're upset because your application takes a little longer to process? Are you for serious?
Please read this post: http://cectoolkit.weebly.com/3/post/2014/04/-but-other-applications-are-being-processed-faster-thats-not-fair-what-can-i-do.html

^ Hello Toby :) I got an email update yesterday regarding the BOWP approval. I logged in CIC and there's a PDF doc there that says that the application is approved.

^^ Don't be upset. Every application is different just like what Toby said in the link. Check CIC from time to time because the email notification, if there's any, is a bit delayed.

Re: Thank you Toby and iamella. :)

Yes, you guys are right.
I'd better let myself calm down again and hope good news from cic in next few days.

It's better to read some why the processing time is different for each one, which toby linked.
Thanks again! Have a good day! ;D

This function has never worked for me. I have never been able to find that button, but you also don't
need it. Upload the documents and submit your application, and you're all good.

Thanks for the response Toby ..How to submit it ? I don't see anything to pay my fees and go further ?

Yes you can apply end of July as well. You will become eligible on May 28th but it doesn't mean that you have to apply on May 28th.

The requirement says that you will become eligible when your work permit is due to expire in 4 months.

I need help!

In the section of Employment for BOWP application

"Give details of your employment for past 10 years"

As it says "Employment" Am I supposed to mention only employment details or other past activities like Studying as well

Please suggest

If it asks for employment, then yes, provide information about your employment history :)

Hi
I am in a weird situation and hope someone can advice me.

I was on a post graduate work permit tat expired on 2nd Jan 2014. To restore my status... I enrolled in a college and got 2 yrs study permit.

I applied for pr under cec and got the AOR. In this case will I be able to apply for BOWP as I am not interested in studying anymore and I would like to continue working till a decision is made on my PR application.

I am aware that one of the requirements is having a valid Work Permit.

Should I try my chances and send them a paper application explaining my situation?

You can try, but 99% you'll be not successful (unless some miracle happens).

No, you don't even have to try, if you currently do not have a work permit, then you're not eligible.
It's as easy as that. If you still feel like wasting the application fee for the work permit, go ahead, CIC will
accept the donation for sure.

^ This is true. I'm not even sure why a "paper application" would attract more leniency? The BOWP was never intended to address all situations where someone might have to return home to await PR. I mean, you could try anyway, but "not interested in studying anymore" will not get it done.

I went to classes for a week and the professor there pissed me off... :( so I don't want to go back. So is there no other option to work here till a decision is being made on my pr application.

Should I head home and hope tat my PR application goes through?
