My “you passed your medical exam” changed to “you do not need a medical”. Is it an automated sign of my medicals expiring? I had my medical on July 30th, 2020 and the validity was until August 5th, 2021 (based on my GCMS notes).

As per the most recent policy, if you fall under the medical reassessment category, your medicals would have been sent for a reassessment, and this is when the status changes. If you meet the extensions criteria, your medicals will be extended for 6 months or 1 year, or else you will be asked for a re-medical (likely not).

If you cannot land before the expiry of the medical validity, either your med has to be extended as per policy or re-medicals asked and only after that, the travel documents can be issued.

Yes. In most cases it means application very close to final steps.

I ordered GCMS Notes recently via getgcms.com. It showed that my file is stuck on the info sharing part for a while . The last update on my application was on Feb 2021.
1. Will initiating a GCMS request trigger a movement on my file ?
2. How much time does Security stage take typically?
3. I raised a request to add my spouse to my application Dec 28, 2020. The last update on GCMS was addition of spouse (which is not processed but just an acknolwdgement that they received the request) to my application back in Feb 23, 2021. Will this cause any further delay on my application?

I truly appreciate your efforts to help people who want to immigrate to CANADA.

I have no Idea what is up with Security. My security hasn't started at all. My AOR is March 2020. Latest opinion I have after following this forum is :
They are probably holding off from updating security. Security has a certain shelf life like medical. When PPR is issued everything will suddenly change to completed I guess. Lets wait for them to retouch all the outland applicants, only then we will know what they decide to do.
In your case at least medical is valid. You will PPR sooner than most of us with expired medicals.

No my initial Medical is in valid state only I believe. I did not receive a re-med request yet.

• Your application currently meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
  • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
• The security background verification has not been initiated.
• The criminal background verification has not been initiated.

Eligibility Secuirty and Criminilaity passed , Unfortunately the medicals status got changed to "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam".
