Undoubtedly sending a complete application is the best way to save time but not the only way to succeed.

Every opinion we post here is either our interpretation of regulations or obtained experiences as we are not immigration lawyer. Even a lawyer might believe in an idea which a cic officer doesn't and takes the case to federal court.
As all we see from a case to another, officers make completely different decisions.
Like you guys my suggestion is to send an application as complete as possible to avoid extra delay but it doesn't mean that the application will fail if one doesn't include some particular docs.

Ya, I've heard stories of people getting bank statement request after not submitting it the first time. It may actually work, but obviously you're taking a risk by not sending a complete application and it may be returned (it is clear from the checklist that you do need to include bank statement, and your money needs to be above a certain threshold).

Bank statement history, however, is a completely different matter. It is not explicitly required, but it is part of the checks that CIC may perform IF they think that the money is not yours. As was the case with hamoon, they do not require that you have the money for the whole period, just that they need to be convinced that the money is yours. The most important indicator that they are looking for is probably whether you have much less money than required at the time of the request.

This was the reason why MASOUD2011 was rejected, because at the time of the request, his balance was close to zero, and several large deposits were made to meet the threshold. They unfortunately were not convinced that the money was his, even though at the time of rejection, he already had the money for more than 6 months :(

Hi Guys

One question. CIC is asking for POF history, should I send by replying the email or mail to their office??
Thanks,

Jutos

Hi everybody,
One of my friends got another line in his Ecas saying that " We started processing your application on XXXX".
Do you guys have any thoughts on its meaning. He was recently asked for Last 6 month bank activity.

Does it mean that they are happy with his statement.

That means his application is now been evaluated. But it is good news

Thanks TyrusX for your response and being helpful as always.
Does it mean that they have accepted the bank history ?

You are welcome.
I can't say that for sure, they may still request an updated one at any time.

Hi,
Could you please share his timeline with us?

Hi MarMar20
His application was received on December 25th 2011, and he got his PER sometime in March.
He was asked to submit bank statement on early January 2013 and he has submitted bank statement
but he has not heard from them yet. But his ECAS has changed to " We started processing your application"

It seems they have considered Feb., Mar., Apr., and May applicants as "backlog". So they are processing June and July applicants on time. Canada Immigration has done this several times before. I don't call it weird. It's the pinnacle of stupidity....
