It was more of a sarcasm to CIC rather than a real answer.
We had two applications whose bkg went into in progress today. seems like they have decided to begin processing our applications!

haha okay !

Hey all,

My BG was in progress almost from the beginning.
Yesterday they requested a document from us and BD changed to "not needed".
After submitting our document today BG returned to be "in progress".
It is the first movement since our medical passed in Sep 2015.

They are definitely working. Good luck to us all!

Guys with BG Check status changed/started please update September spreadsheet!!
:) :)
Finally some movement here.

I really hope they do something on my application. It is so frustrating for me. I open my email every hour in the hope of getting an update email. I am so worried that I am almost the only fsw inland whose bkg has not started yet and my work category is very challenging and they can easily reject me for that! It is so frustrating.

@shibaak,
I crosschecked (searched members and viewed their latest posts) other members with Canada COR, some of them do not have BGC started. You are not alone.
Also notable fact is just today "big fish" from AUG got PPR without BG. So, I'm hoping (because mine hasn't started yet) that BG status means nothing.

Mine application is also likely to jump many VO. I'm originally from Nepal and have work experience from there. But I came mainland China and also have work experience here.
My application will probably go NewDelhi VO (There is no Canadian Embassy in Nepal) and will probably go to Nepal VFS and come back to NDVO (India) and then come to HongKong VO (Because mainland China VO doesn't process PR applications) then probably come to Beijing for rest of the employment and education verification and then go back to HKVO to issue PPR if being locally processed otherwise it will again go to Ottawa. Pff!!

This seems vicious cycle. Not to mention NOC problems and job responsibilities do not match 100% with NOC. Probably no ones does.

Just being positive and waiting. As far I see Jan is not our month and much likely Feb and March is.
So being frustrated and thinking about it too much will, in no manner, help faster processing but will elevate our anxiety.
So, just relax and think Feb end=>Mar end is our time. These times we are just building communities on this forum and helping each others!!

Cheers and relax. Wish for all, may we complete this PPR/PR journey without much delays and troubles.

I got my GCMS notes today, generated on 17-Dec. Unfortunately there hasn't been any progress and these notes are exactly same as the ones that I received about a month back. Under assessments only Medical is set to passed and Criminality is "In Progress". R10 is set to OK.

I think work on Sep applicants is happening now and most likely nothing happened in Dec.

Disappointing and the fact that you haven't received the RPRF request makes me believe that our batch is unfortunately dead!!

CIC took a day off today.
Only processed 200 Refugee applications. Usually it would be 400s.
No PPRs on July, August (1 exception) or September.

Hmm.. Maybe it was Application Processing Department Manager's birthday and they are having a party!!
