I have a question and appreciate if anybody knows the answer or had the same experience.

I am sponsorring my parents, and now they are in the process of medical exams, following initial test by the PP, the visa office requested additional tests( cardiologist and nephrologist) for my father who is 91 years old(knock on wood he is exceptionaly healthy) since his blood creatining was high(maximum normal is 1.4 and his creatinine was 1.9) he underwent cardio and nephrologists tests including heart stress test, blood test, urine test, 24 hour urine test.

The nephrologist reported, he has grade 3 chronic kidney disase(CKD) but no history of diabetes, no protein, no blood in urine(24 hour urine test), blood pressure in normal range and at the end the nephrologist said the prognosis overall depends on his cardiac function but his renal function in the next five years is favarorable with follow up.

The cardiologist also described him as a healthy man with history of coronary arteery bypass graft 4 years ago, controled blood pressure and, mildly diastolic dysfunction, normal rv size and function, mildly mitral thickend, tricuspid valve normal trivial TR no PH, plomonic valve normal, internal septum normal, pericardium normal. On the report of myocardial effusion scan with dipyridamole nagative for any appreciable stress induce ischemia, at the end the specialist reported"According to the present finding the probability of cardiac event is low and he needs no futhur evaluation.

I appreciate any input if you and your parents had the same situation before and it's outcome with visa office, I need to be prepared for any possible question from visa office.
Thank you

Hi Befa42!

There is a whole forum dedicated to those who sponsor their parents through Ankara visa office!

The link is here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t135734.0.html

I think they would be much better suited to help you, since we are all going through, or have gone through, spousal sponsorship.

:)

So I had medicals received appear on 24th of February and nothing since...yesterday was my wife's bday...

To be honest, at this point, dont even have it in me to be angry anymore, just drained and pissed off, that this has stretched for so long...don't get me wrong, I know I have to be grateful since there are VOs that take way-way-way longer.

But at the same time, I cant help, but to ask myself how many more birthdays, anniversaries and special days I will miss because of this thing. My birthday is in like 10 days and I doubt I will be by the side of my wife by then...

I pray for all of you all the time, so we are over this disaster in our lives

Abe1004,

I can certainly confess that I can't feel ur pain as my hubby is still w me, Thank God.
YOU never know, maybe your file goes to process and PPR in couple of days befor eyour birthday.

But I suggest you order your GCMS as your file has not gone for "In process" status! BTW what do you mean your medical was received on Feb 24th? how come it was received after your file was transferred??
it's super hard but we can all do it! believe me ;)

Thank you very much for your kind words Negmeg.

I am planning on ordering GCMS notes.

I had only one line available in my ecas, it said: we received your application on 26th of august 2013

Then on february 24 th they updated it and i got swcond line under it that said: medicals have been received...

So not sure what that means

Hi abe
There is nothing you can do but to wait more and order gcms.

I would like to add some problems to yours. Sometimes I wish I had never sent my application to cic. At times, I feel that I do not know my wife anymore, I think that I have lost my feelings to her, I cannot imagine her face on my mind, her picture is not clear anymore. I just know that one day we woved to stand by each other's side for ever, and I am keeping my promise. It has been almost one year that we are away and so many things change in a year for a young girl/guy. It is a vicious trend, it changes people, it makes stone out of people's hearts.

Above all the issues there exists an extraordinary concept called " Hope". This damn hope can make you even wait for years.

I pray for you and all the lonely husbands and wives here in this thread, from the bottom of my heart, to get to your loved soon.

at the CIC, it's written that processing times for assessment of sponsor is 28 days!

we have received an e-mail in the 24th days and we have got our UCI and application number!

this is the question:
does it mean the end of the first step and assessment of sponsor or we must be patient to receive another e-mail for that?

today, is the 34th days, and in the ecas, the status is "Application Received"!

what is next?

Do you think, it's correct to call CIC and ask them the status???

Abe1004, I agree with negmeg to order GCMS notes. It's the only way to truly get an idea of what is going on in your file. I suggest ordering them as soon as you can because it does take another 30 calendar days for you to receive them. Don't give up!

You and your wife are in my thoughts Mehrdad. Don't give up hope! I understand completely how you are feeling. My husband and I were apart for a year before we reunited. During this year so much happened (good and bad) and we couldn't be there (physically) to support one another. But in the very end of the story, your visa will come. It's always darkest before dawn so hang in there!!

faridzad, I am quite confused, really your file was not opened for 4 years? This is for spousal sponsorship or parents? Why didn't you involve an MP to look into the cause of the delay. Once the process time has been reached (according to CIC website, 14 months for Ankara) you have every right to investigate why it is taking so long. I wish you all the luck with this!

It means your first step is over and your file is being transferred to Ankara. They will then assess the person being sponsored. This could take up to 14 months, according to the CIC website.

Don't pay too much attention to the status online. Sometimes they don't change it! There have been people who have had their spouses land in Canada as a PR and their e-cas still says "Application Received". It depends on the VO and sometimes they just don't update the system.

Be patient and if you feel necessary, you can order GCMS notes to see what is happening with your file. I never did order GCMS notes but there are plenty of people on this forum who have and who can help you with that.

Do not contact CIC unless absolutely necessary (medicals expiring, change of address, etc.)
