it would be great to get statistics but they are constantly changing.

Based on my own research, I can see that 20 % of cases are denied.

You can be sure that many of this 20 % are the legitimate ones, while CIC lets in the frauds ! surely we can do better !!

Whats most frightening is the wait times. More than 2 years waiting for hearing in Toronto is unacceptable! (I recently read/heard that it is more like 2 1/2 years now (in toronto)

Become stricter Akthera and complex where many of the victim Even my status I'm afraid of their decision and did not received any letter from ofice and i hope i can hear good news soon our decision but i have hope and we can pray god for help us
Rejection rate was not Too high before like now think 2010 until 2013 Immigration system has changed a lot
Became more Difficulty

you have 30 days to appeal. I also recommend you hire a good immigration lawyer or consultant. The wait times in Vancouver are not so bad. You will, most likely need to go to Hearing. ADR is giving when there are 1 or 2 issues. When they say 'not genuine' - count on a Hearing. Even after you win....it will still take time. (April is 4 years for us) We won our appeal in Toronto after waitng 28 months (time from sent notice to appeal, to hearing date) :-\

thank u so much for reply .. then how much they will take time in vancoure ? i know too much times are taking in Toronto .. canadain embassy is teasing too much n giving very hard time special for those who has genuine case ..its not the right way to find out fraud cases . their rode . reckless attitude dont show professional .. no body can take action regarding their non professionalism ? not even canadian govt as well cuz canadian govt also want to give hard time ... :'( :'( :'( :'(

I am in Vancouver. It took less than 6 months to get the full hearing. Don't despair... your nightmare will end eventually. In the meantime, keep your mind busy. You have to feel good about yourself to radiate a good energy and strength at the hearing.

It is going on five months since my husband's application was refused and four months since we filed for an appeal. It seems like we are waiting forever. Living apart from each other seems scary, but we are holding on to faith and counting the month of us living apart from each other. Not to scare anyone but wow! it sems like we have been waiting forever and I can hear the frustration in his voice. My job as his wife is to lift him up all the time and for him to do the same.

Is there anyone in this thread that is in reprocessing in Accra?

Maybe im wrong but it seems you are talking timeline for Toronto whereas, Habiti is talking about Vancouver.
It is much worse in Toronto.

Furthermore, we dont like to use the word "maximum' when dealing with CIC. I can tell you....I had to ait 28 months (filing the appeal to hearing date)

You are in Vancouver! How is it possible to wait 2 years for a full hearing! Who is that lawyer of yours?

I sent the notice of appeal the first week of January 2012. The full hearing was on June 21st of the same year. I also recommend you attend a full hearing. This is what I did with my consultant. It prepares you psychologically and also you will know how they proceed in court, what to expect, what to say and what not to say at yours.
