My wife's TRV application is in process since July. I am a PR holder and I reached out to my local MP and the case manager in his office today called me and said that the IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca prioritization of applications is only for Extended family members of Canadians and PR holders and Immediate family members of Temporary Residents in Canada.
He said that the prioritization is not for Immediate Family Members of Canadians and PR Holders.

This is the biggest piece of crap I have heard and honestly, if this is the kind of idiots that work in MP offices, then I have no hopes. What do I do?

For anyone who is applying for TRV from within Canada, here is my timeline.

TRV Application (In Canada)
Submitted: 09/10/2020 | Passport Request: 25/11/2020 |
Passport Sent to CPC Ottawa: 01/12/2020 (Canada Post Xpresspost) | Passport Received by CPC Ottawa: 04/12/2020 |
Tracker Activated: 09/12/2020 | Passport Received by Applicant: 11/12/2020 (Canada Post Xpresspost)

I do not plan to travel so as long as the strict travel restrictions to Canada are in place. I just applied for my TRV as soon as I received my work permit in case of emergency (as my parents live outside of Canada) and for future (post-pandemic) travel convenience.

If you're already within Canada, what/whom did you apply TRV for? I didn't understand

My wife's visa got rejected under IRPR 216(1) which is basically for study permits. I am not sure and really confused with this rejection letter. I saw another applicant get the same reason even though their application was for a spousal TRV.
Can anyone please help shed light on this?

Hi!
I applied for TRV from inside Canada (Edmonton, Alberta) on 25/12/2020. I have valid open work permit till July 2021. Just want to know if someone has recently applied for the same from Canada and how long does it actually took to get the final decision.
Thanks!!

My sister in law is currently visiting us and her 6 months ends may 25th . I was wondering if we did extension and we checked online processing takes roughly 6 months. If we applied for extension will she be under implied status for those 6 months?

Hello Everyone.

Submitted an application for a TRV for a honeymoon at Ontario with my spouse who is a PR.
Regarding my application, am i eligible for the visa considering the facts behind travel restrictions?

Yes she can remain for the time she is on implied status. No guarantee that it will be for 6 months.
