Hi everyone. Any ideas what could we use as a prove in categories bellow in an application?
Documentary evidence of financial support between you and your sponsor.
Important documents for you and your spouse showing that you are recognized as each other's spouse.

Also how is about changing the surname of wife after the marriage. We are getting married this weekend and planing to send an application in 2 weeks time. If she takes my surname on her documents still will be her maiden name. May it cause any problems? Did anybody had any issues with that?
Documentary evidence could be
Join bank account
Insurance papers
Money sent for support
Family booklet
Papers shows you or spouse as beneficiary in both each other bank account or others
Letters from people's you know saying that they about the relationship
Et....

1. Documentary evidence of financial support - bank statements showing you have paid for eachother's things (groceries, bills, etc.) ...I can't think of anything else lol.
2. Name on each other's Insurance/benefits, documents showing that your spouse is a beneficiary...
3. Rule of thumb is use the name that is on her passport. I used my maiden name as that is what was on my passport at the time/I haven't changed my name on my other documents yet for consistency purposes.

Yeah. I expected it to be like 2 - 3 months. Any idea how long it will take for them to request Schedule A?
For me it took 26 days to get the AOR and then the police check and schedule A were requested the next day.

Actually I’m still waiting on my Acknowledgment, but from what I’ve read here they request clearance and schedule A right after ... let’s see what others have to say

How did you receive the request ? By mail/ email or in your online account?
I had already linked my application to the online account so I received the request there, through their messaging system. But since I have the notifications set up (they are on by default, I believe), I also received an email telling me I have new messages in my account.

Hi y'all - I'm following the 2018 timeline because most of the processing of our apps would be in the year of 2018. I was reading the 2017 timeline thread that some people got their med requests between 7 - 9 months. I'm wondering if the med exams can be covered by OHIP? I assume that my wife would get her med request sometime this summer which is when she would get her OHIP. thank you.

Hey there! As far as I know/what I have read.. medical exams are not covered. You need to pay out of pocket. But definitely a good question to ask the 2017 thread as most of them have been through it.

Yep I've posted a question in that thread and got a response. The answer is - Nope, OHIP does not cover any of the medical costs requested by IRCC. Gotta pay out of our pockets. I saw some costs posted by a few members - one paid $350 total and another paid $180 + $40 for chest x-ray, so the prices varies between different panel doctors. Guess I'll call around to a few and choose the lowest one quoted. Distance don't matter to me. Fun to have a day-trip tho!
