I got my approval as a sponsor email today and my guy got his letter too!

"It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident status as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class."

Best thing I've read in ages! So exciting!!! Hopefully a DM is not too far away

I haven't gotten any e-mail yet. Your application was received 2 days earlier than mine. So, I expect I will receive my AIP soon. But at the same time, I'm VERY VERY VERY nervous. I hope that I can tell you guys my good news soon.

Congrats for your baby! I can't remember the date I got my CSQ, I think at the beginning of March. ^

Same for me, with medical exam and police certificate, also done in April (before CIC requested them, and AGAINST the advice of the CIC Call Centre representative!). This forum literally shaved months off of my wait time, as I couldn't have received DM without those documents in my file.

These forums have been awesome. Especially as things are a bit different for us here in Quebec, it's just been amazing reading all the good info and hearing other people's stories. It's been really fantastic for me, so thank you everyone for sharing.

Now for landing and PR card. Feels like the hard part is done though.

My husband questioned my decision to do everything in April. He hasn't stressed much about this process compared to me ???

Glad we had this forum, where we could learn from many voices of experience, rather than the few voices of "professionals."

Jeez, this day has been nuts! I can't quit refreshing the forum and checking for more good news!
