Hello everyone
I received the AOR today, writen that they got my application on September 5th!!!!
So can someone just tell me whats next, I have to wait for Quebec contact me right?!
how long do you guys think it will take???
Thanks for the help!!!!

and congrats to those who landed!!!!

hi, you should receive another letter from cic after 1-2 months instructing you to apply for CSQ, immigration quebec will not contact you. I suggest go to immigration quebec website and download the necessary form and fill them up already, have all the requirements ready, so when the letter comes all you have to do is to enclose a copy of that letter in you CSQ application and pay $260 i think.

Hi,
So I already downloaded everything for quebec and filled it,
just waiting the letter from CIC to keep going with the process, I thought would be faster that 1-2 months... :(
thanks for the help

Well, time when it comes to CIC is very relative; ask people who applied until 2011 when inland 1st stage (AIP) was taking 11-12 months, now it is down to 6 months, now some people get AOR in 1 month and before it was 3 or 4 months or worst no AoR at all... ;)

I know, but we always want to break the records, and be the fastest one... lol
my aor took almost 3 months,
is cause I have to travel in January and my husband cant come with me otherwise he will loose the implied status, and would be very important for him and for me if he could be there, so I still have some hope.... he only thing I can do its wait anyways....

My husband and I are in a similar situation. Actually, the AOR took 4 months!

When we left our home in South Carolina, we did not realize that he would not be able to go back until he gets his PR card. If he does not have his PR by tax time (mid-April), I will have to go back alone. :(

We are still hoping and praying that things happen in good time. ::)

Hi Everyone!
I got my CSQ yesterday in the mail.. What is the next step? What can I do with that? Also in all the forms my second name is wrong (I have 2names), this can be a problem? Thanks in advance for the help

I can make something with that? I hear about the health care and some french courses... But I don't have idea... I just want to make what I can until AIP come... :)

Ok finally this morning our ECAS went from Decision Made to complete, 3 days after landing.
I read somewhere that after a while we won't be able to log on ECAS anymore because the process is over.
I took a screen shot as a memory of that long process.
Will keep you informed when we receive de PR card (6 to 8 weeks usually).
Good luck Lyn for next week ;)

hi! congrats, with CSQ you can study french for free, do you live here in montreal, near cote des neiges area? I just found a place where you can study french part time, u just need csq and passport, i was supposed to register for their winter class, but I decided not to since I am expecting to receive my COPR by next week.

next step, is to wait for your AIP, maybe 3-4 months? it depends

with your name, try to call immigration quebec to correct it, if you have doubts, call CIC, I am not sure of this, maybe our senior members may give you advice. :-)

When we applied back in 2011, AIP was to take 11 months so applying for OWP at the same time and asking it to be processed when AIP is granted, was the most effective way to keep a legal status called "implied".
OWP will usually be delivered for 1 or 2 years and gives a temporary resident status, which is much better than visitor for getting access to services : SAAQ for instance...
CIC is now processing 1st stage so much faster than before, so I guess you will hear about them sooner than we did.
good luck ;)
