This is what is my E-CAS....
We received your application to sponsor XXXXXXXXX on February 9, 2012.
We started processing your application on May 24, 2012.
We sent you a letter on September 25, 2012 about the decision on your application.
Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Does the step 2: permanent residence say processing? Mine says that it started processing on the same day the letter was mailed so I assume that it means that I got the 1st step approval which is why they started working on the second one. I'm sure it's positive!ineedhelp1981 said:

in that decision.
if they have transferred your file to a local office before AIP, this usually means they will most likely schedule an interview (for the couple), as they may be not sure if the relationship is genuine. let us know of any updates and good luck!tow75 said:Hey everyone! Me and my husband actually applied in late 2011 but I just wanted to share our timeline so far and maybe get some advice on what to expect. I don't remember the exact dates so bear with me...
Our application was received on October 28th 2011
-March 15th 2012- received letter inviting us to continue with MICC
-May 21st(ish) my husband got his CSQ and the file was sent back to CIC
-August 29th 2012- our application was transferred to Montreal for further assessment
The last letter we got made me a bit worried. We did everything through a consultant, and she says that this is just the finalization process and it's completely normal. We've been told it will take 2 to 3 months until something happens so at this point we only have a month or so left.
Does anyone have experience with what this means? Help!!!
