Sending PR Card by Courier

Thanks a lot deepcur for the prompt reply. I didn't get the part "They'll enclose it properly". I was thinking once i have generated the labels and invoice i will email it to my friends. Just wanted to check is there any reason why you probably shipped the labels to your friend?

Sorry I emailed the label my friend too.. I got confused with the PPR email where we prepare the label for cic by sticking in envelope to return the passports.

Nothing can go wrong as a human eye takes a look at it in the Canadian store.

Hello All,

Just want to update, I asked my Brother in Law to send PR card via DHL to Oman.
It was well received with no issues.
Choose good courier service like DHL/FEDEX/UPS , you can track your's docs with Air Way Bills (AWB) number.

Guys ..i got my pr card recently shipped from Canada to US via Fedex. US customs stopped the package for 1 day and they opened the package .But eventually i got my package with pr card .

Why do you think there should be a problem if you have a valid PR card and a valid passport then as a PR you are entitled to travel to and enter Canada. You would only get extra scrutiny if you had not met the residency obligation.

Thank you for clarification. I do have valid passport and PR is valid till 5 years.

Please note, 5 yr PR validity start from date you first landed as Permanent Resident, same is mentioned in hard copy of COPR. Expiry date in PR card is not to counted PR expiry. Experts in this forum can correct if this understanding is incorrect.

I want to get my PR card from Canada to USA too via FedEx. could you please share some details about how you filled out the return shipment label? what did you select in Package and Shipment Details? In document description I have selected 'legal documents' and shipment purpose as 'Personal Use'. Is that okay?

Also, what should I add in Custom Documentation? I just want to make sure everything is fine and there won't be any issue receiving PR card via FedEx from Canada to USA.

it means that customs will not ask about how i have received my pr card outside canada...in my case ill land in toronto in april to confirm my pr status..leave and back on june 2017 (time to receive Pr card by courier in my home country).

Hope that will be ok when land canada!!!
