    Cannot fulfill residency obligations anymore

I understand that part but what about a third party like an employer or landlord or a neighbor informing the IRCC or CBSA? Thanks

    Cannot fulfill residency obligations anymore

Imagine, if a person, say John, with valid period of 8 months on the PR card enters Canada by air and doesn't get reported at the airport for not meeting the RO by CBSA --and if that person chose to not leave canada for the next two years by finding a job, will CBSA or IRCC take notice of any...

    cbsa-Montreal border entry RO

Thank you very much for your extensive information. I really appreciate for you taking time in writing this answer. I do have SIN and can get a Canadian drivers license as I have a US drivers license with clean record for 10 years. The real test is can I get into Canada without being reported...

    cbsa-Montreal border entry RO

My other question would be - if I am not reported for breach of RO and allowed to enter into Canada, what would happen if I take up a job and the employer wants to see my Canada PR being current after September 2020. So July 2019-July 2021- 730 daysbut to survive from September 2020 till July...

    PR renewal..Regarding 5 years interval .. URGENT please :)

They can’t stop you for sure but I think you were incredibly lucky not to get reported for not meeting RO. Usually the Port of entry officers ask questions and the lack of 730 days arises and they might record or report to IRCC That’s what I meant to imply

    PR renewal..Regarding 5 years interval .. URGENT please :)

Did you land at Pearson airport and you scanned your PR card and just walked through? Did no officer ask you to stop ?

    PR renewal..Regarding 5 years interval .. URGENT please :)

So when you returned in March 2017, November 2017- did the border officers not question you for not fulfilling the residential obligations?

    cbsa-Montreal border entry RO

So my understanding is if it is an expired PR card- they can travel by land from US but cannot fly into Canada. The RO issue would be the same if you fly or drive Thanks

    cbsa-Montreal border entry RO

What is the difference between going by land route versus taking a flight for someone who has RO issues/ not meeting RO? Thanks

    cbsa-Montreal border entry RO

I don’t have any valid reasons to convince the CBSA - I made the choice to stay in the US and work here as Physiotherapist. I will be honest and if I am asked why I couldn’t meet the RO, I will just have to rely on my luck hoping they will let me in or not stop me. Thank you for your advice

If with a remote chance I am allowed into Canada- and intend to stay for 2years, with my PR card expiring in 2020 September- how do I carry a govt issued identity? With the help of Canadian drivers license? Say I enter in July and get Canadian drivers license- how long will it be issued for? Thanks

    Sending PR Card by Courier

My experience was.. got the cards mailed from Canada to the US through FEDEX. No issues at all

    cbsa-Montreal border entry RO

Thanks to both of you. So - the sure way to know whether I have been reported or not is to just land at Pearson Airport on July 4th and see if they decide to let me in or kick me out with a departure order

    cbsa-Montreal border entry RO

Thank you very much for replying in detail. I would say the POE officer was doing his job in a professional way and I have no complaints about that. Do you think I can get access to the GCMS notes and that would clear my suspicions and take my trip next month ? Do I request those notes from...

Here is my situation. Received PR in May 2015 and did a soft landing in July 2015. We live and work in US on 3142 occupation on H1B. I entered Canada in June 2018 and stayed for 2 months and returned to the US. Family was in US at that time In August 2018 we drove in our personal vehicle as a...

    PR Obligation

With due respect to your statement, I would disagree as there are people whose jobs/families are tied up to a place and when people spend $4000-$5000 to get PR they are trying to make the best with their situations and not squander that much money for no reason

Again - you have the shamelessness to tell me to research and you are begging for information on the other thread asking people about moving companies . You should shut up if you don’t know everything rather pointing fingers at others
