I am a Canadian Citizen living in Toronto. I just recently got married to a Pakistani girl in Pakistan in December 2019. We had a simple Nikanama and religiously, legally she is my wife now. I wish to apply to sponsor her to Canada by the end of January or February 2020.

Although we will most definately be applying through an experienced immigration lawyer in Canada, but still i will be grateful for the most comprehensive summarized guidance with respect to my case in terms of the application forms to be filled out by me the sponsor, my wife the sponsoree and the list of documents to be provided by me and her.

Hello Everyone,

I am PR holder. As I am getting married, I came to know that my fiancee has a history of student visa rejection before. He applied three times for PG diploma and got refused saying that he would not leave the country after studies.
My concern is if I marry him and apply for spousal sponsorship does his 3 times student visa rejection effect the sponsorship application in any way. Your replies will be appreciated. Thank you.

Anyone in this forum came across any similar cases as such who have been granted the PR despite rejections under spousal sponsorship.

Until their status expires or they need to leave the country (like an interview or other reason to not be in Canada)
thanks for your response. My wife is Sri Lankan and she's currently in Singapore doing her Master's which would finish in May 2020. In terms of our PR application status, I was approved as a sponsor few days back.

If she decides to come to Canada on a visit visa (which already has) after graduating, will this affect our application?

No. She may not be admitted if CBSA is concerned she won't leave (minimal chance) or she may be required to leave for interviews.

Hi guys
July applicant
Medical done today.
I’m a lil worried as the blood pressure level was high and I’ve never had a history of hbp nor anyone in the family, hope this won’t affect my application..anyone ever experienced it and how did the result turn out ?

I am currently a PR in Canada. I sponsored my wife who is in India and submitted the file in October 2019 and got confirmation in November 2019. I got approval on the sponsorship part on January 3 and got email for biometrics on January 5 and another email for medical on January 06 2020. My questions how long does it take to get PR after the medical exam is done?
