Oh my! We have really same timelime. I passed all my checks, the latest security last August 29. I called last Tuesday and the agent told me that my file was sent to my local VO last Sept 6 for the passport request! I believe its all positive! Thanks for the encouragement, good luck and God bless!

I'm a March 2018 AOR and this is my current status:
-we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements
-you don't need medical exam
-we don't need additional documents
-you don't need interview
-we don't need your biometrics
-background check we will inform you when we begin
-final decision - we will inform you once it's been decided

it's been 16 months and it's so frustrating!

yes, I got my GCMS notes and it said that my work experience letters were not detailed enough about my job description vis a vis matching to my NOC. So I got those updated with my employers and uploaded those. but that was 4 months ago and I'm still waiting.

Its better if you can upload them giving a good explanation. stating that you have seen this in the GCMS and would like to clarify .

Yes I did that when I uploaded my updated letters. Included a detailed explanation letter. Not sure what to do. Some people are saying to withdraw my application and go through an agent. But is it normal to have to wait so long? I read a few messages on this thread where people had to wait for over a year for PPR...

Yes, there are a lot of ppl waiting over a year, Including me . I still havent received my PR , Waiting for my second set of notes.
Dont go through an agent its of not much use. you can withdraw and try to apply again freshly by yourself.

i can understand your frustration.. I recently got my PR after 16 months. My AOR was may 2018. Its good thing you have uploaded documents. Its just a matter of time. They did nt open your file yet. Thats why you are getting no updates. CIC is trying to finalize all pending 2018 files but still some of files like yours are not being finalized. you can try to contact MP if you are CEC. My area MP helped me a lot.

do you suggest that I wait it out? I was thinking of two things, either withdraw my application and reapply afresh on my own, or withdraw and reapply with an agent. I'm just worried about my IELTS and TEF because I don't want those to expire and then I'll have to do those two tests again...
