Hi All,

First time on this site. Appreciate what you guys are doing for each other. Hopefully, I may be of assistance to anyone as well with sharing my own situation. Also, hoping to get help with questions I have regarding my own application.

Thus far, my timeline is as follows as per ECAS:
  1. We received your application to sponsor _ on March 18, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 15, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on April 14, 2019.
  4. We sent you correspondence on May 2, 2019 about the decision on your application.
  1. We received _'s application for permanent residence on March 18, 2019.
  2. We started processing _'s application on June 12, 2019.
  3. We sent _ a letter on April 29, 2019. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  4. We sent _'s medical instructions on April 30, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us with the information requested as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  5. Medical results have been received.
and GCKey:

03.18.19 - Application received
04.29.19 - Biometrics Requested
04.30.19 - Medical Requested
05.06.19 - Application transferred to Mississauga
05.08.19 - Biometrics Completed
05.25.19 - Medical Passed
06.25.19 - Application transferred to NDVO

It is going to be 2 months in a week and a half, but we have not heard from NDVO. I am considering ordering the GCMS notes which I have read about in many of the threads on this site. What say you? Good idea to try now or maybe wait a while longer?

Has anyone tried calling their respective VO? NDVO has a pretty bad reputation from what I have read so far. Am I supposed to receive any updates on GCKey or ECAS once the application is at New Delhi? Tried to get more info from my lawyer, but she is almost as helpful as the folks at IRCC I am afraid.

Main concern is if I can get an answer from NDVO, IRCC, or the GCMS notes. Something official that shows the application is making progress because the GCKey and ECAS aren't really helpful at this point. Almost 2 months and I am looking at the same updates.

Wishing everyone the best of luck on their journey. If you applied in March 2019, I hope your spirits are high, five months in, now.
There's certainly no harm in ordering your notes if you want to, but it is pretty impossible to get any kind of precise summary out of IRCC with regards to applications. If you call the help line, they really won't tell you much more than the info that you can access yourself. They might tell you that your application is on the criminality check or something, but by and large, if you're still within the 12 month mark, all they will tell you is that your application is "within normal processing times". From what I've been able to tell by hanging out on the forum, if your application doesn't get sent to Mississauga, you are definitely looking at more of a 9-11 month timeline if all goes smoothly (with some exceptions, of course). A lot of VOs seem to have a high work load and not enough staff, and some of them like London or Mexico City are so backlogged that December/January applicants are only getting transferred there now. So you're definitely in a good situation if you're already at your VO. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do besides order your notes and keep on waiting. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you and other NDVO folks hear something soon!

IRCC agents are of no help. They will you the same what you already see on your GCKey account.
I have seen for many applicants from India the file transfer happened after 6 months. but the Total processing time was based on the AOR1 date which is 6-7 months till Decision made.
Pankaj,

Man I hope your situation changes soon. I can only imagine the pressure you must feel from those around you. I've got my fingers crossed for you, boss. Something good will come out of all of this soon enough.

Hey Boss,

Appreciate the info and the good vibes your sending our way. I guess best bet is to stay patient. I'll order those notes in a couple of months. Just the stagnation in updates is killing me. I can only imagine how many of the other applicants and sponsors are feeling.

Best wishes to you all again! Hoping we all get some good news soon enough.

Today i got a letter to send in my passport. Since im from america i just need to send photocopy. But also required to send two pr pic... but i sent it in march along with my application. Its normal to request again? Also to send prepaid envelope.... it said prepaid will return my passport and confirmation of pr. Why can i get my confirmation via online? Lol thats how they sent me notification this entire time... clearly i dont sent my passport so its bit of waste i think. But seriously after how much we paid.. govt cant pay the envelope for us? Lol it only costs few dollars...even intl letter doesnt cost over ten dollars. Anyways... what i am going thru is normal?
But then what can i do.. other than follow the letter instructions lol
Are you seriously complaining? Be grateful you're at the end of the process as so many of us are still waiting.

Probably not. Are you having trouble setting up the GCKey account? You can see more info on the progress of the application on it. I know we did have trouble linking my husband's application to it because he was putting 1 for the number of applicants v.s. 2.

Your file is taking longer. You can see my timeline in my profile. There seems to be a general slowdown...perhaps because it's Summer?? Are you expecting red flags for sponsorship?

I am not expecting any red flags at all, i was expecting that in my case SA should have been done weeks ago , if not days ago.

I am a Canadian citizen , filing taxes since 2006. Working , providing all documents , just dont understand the process.

It took us about a month and a half to get SA. Application was received on March 18, 2019 and SA was received on May 2, 2019. So maybe a couple of more weeks and you should get something? Best of luck!

Well, I'm sure it's just a slowdown then. Maybe the volume has gone up. If no red flags, it's just a waiting game. Fingers crossed you get good news this week. Oh...and check your junk mail just in case :)

Thank u for sharing your case. Quick question ,

in your timeline it says Application Received was March 18th and SA was May 2nd. But when did you receive the AOR ? Acknowledgment of Receipt.

It seems like your AOR was close to April end.

In My case , it has been 1 month after AOR. (My file was received on May 31st , in that case , I should have received the SA by Mid July or End of July)
