Hi everyone! After seeing this forum, I'm glad everyone got their PR renewal done really fast. Just wondering what's taking so long for mine. This is my progress so far.
  1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on January 28, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 18, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on February 18, 2019.
I called them on March 22, 2019, and the lady agent told me they will let me know when & where to pick it up. And I double confirmed with her if that means it's approved, and she said it is! Filled out a Web Form on April 3 asking for updates, and they sent me this on April 8.

This message is to inform you that we have received your request regarding the status of your Permanent Resident Card (PR Card).

We have verified your file and noticed that it was referred to the local office for further assessment, causing a delay in the processing of your application.

While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.

Should I be worried? Why would they say a decision is made when they still need further assessment? FYI, I did not fulfill the residency requirement before the expiration date, BUT I manage to fulfill the 2 years during and after the expiration date.

Hello, I sent my application for PR card renewal on March 19th, it was received on Friday 22nd, which today makes 21 days, nothing has happened since then, on eCAS still only Application Received on March 22nd.

According to the processing times on their website, which is 24 days, I think by now I should be at least In process, so I'm a little worried my application is just lost in a pile not being payed any attention. I wonder if I should wait for the 24 days to be over and then call them or send an inquiry or if I should do it today and at least make them look at it.

Thanks for the advice, my days in Canada where 1295.
