Hi, For those who were able to link the OWP.. Please share the process or tips. I'm unable to link the OWP since a month now after receiving the AOR on 6th Mar and linking the AOR on 15th mar.
Category: Temporary Resident
Sub-category: Work Permit and Extension

Use PA's UCI (the one you see on your linked PR GCKey, NOT the one that was in the AOR e-mail because that is the Sponsor's UCI) and PA's Family Name

Enter PA's Passport Information or PA's Place of Birth

Details of intended work in Canada
Type of Work Permit: Open (Initial Application or Extension)

Personal Information:
↳ Current Country of Residence: Canada
↳ Current Marital Status
↳ Which situation applies to the applicant: Applied for permanent residence as a spouse or common-law partner in Canada

I have a quick question, wife went had medical exam done today, receptionist at the clinic gave cop of eMedical information sheet and was told to submit this form to CIC. I have not heard such instruction before is it just to notify them that medical exam was done? doesn't the doctor's office submit the results? Or is it safe to do it on our end just in case?

Thank you.

OWP approval today as well! Congrats, IamJems! And thank you MoonMooon, Esmee178 and gants888 for your tips. Now I'm curious to see what will be the next step - newcomer in Canada for less than 6 months, no need for medical exams.
Congrats right back at you! I've been in Canada for 2 years though and I didn't need a medical either?

Actually I guess everyone applying for PR needs a medical exam. I just don't know in which phase of the process they will require it from us, since most applicants got it soon after AOR.

Congrats! Youre well on your way to the maple dream now.

Looks like I’m one of the few left with no OWP. We should create a support group lol

Thank you! I know this wait is really tough, but I felt better since I knew the applications would not be returned. It might take a bit longer for you, but if you check the spreadsheet there are applicants whose OWP took even longer than mine, so keep your fingers crossed!!!

Oh everyone does for PR, I thought you were referring to needing a medical for the OWP if you've been here more than 6 months already haha yeah medical request have been coming soon after AOR, so shouldn't be long now :)

the timing of receiving a medical request is strange. Some people receive medical request before OWP approval. Some got it after (like me!) Guess it is quite random. Just have to be patient in playing this game!!

I suppose the doctor office will submit the result. I got the eMedical information sheet from the doctor today but they didn't mention to me that I have to submit to CIC. After the medical check, guess we have nothing to do but to wait for the medical approval.

If you check CIC, if u did ur medical after u submitted your application, you will not need to submit anything but wait, yoir doctor will upload your result to CIC.

Anyone else here from Jan still waiting for OWP approval?
I'm wondering what caused my application to fall from the standard processing time. I did apply for a visitors visa extension about 3 weeks ago - wondering if that threw the application off. However, visa was valid when the PR and OWP file was originally sent in.
