Hi everyone - May appllicant here but I was told there are people here in a similar situation to me.

My AOR is May 23 (CEC). I am currently in IP2 since end of September. 3 weeks ago I wrote to IRCC for an update and here is there reply:

"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that a decision has been made on the application. Rest assured that the responsible office will contact you by mail or email to provide you with that decision."

I received this 2 weeks ago and so far nothing has been updated on my account and I have received no emails.

Are there people here in similar situations?

Maybe. I'm pretty sure in ROH there was a couple who met here and got married.

I had the most horrible thought today. What if they want to start giving everyone ppr on the 6th month date and decided to do a trial run with some of the June batch.

That’s scary. It’s really strange how they have hold approved applications. Is it they want to reach minimum targets for other months and than they will release approved ones?

Talked with a nice agent yesterday. He said my file is approved, currently at Sydney, NS. not sure when they will release PPRs but said very soon. Now looking forward to that "Very soon"

See, I told you your file has been approved on the day of your ghost update. I hope mine is approved too, got the ghost update on 5th Nov. @Vitesze received PPR after 21 days from approval day. It shouldn't be long now.

Hey I think it’s not the VO issue. Two of my friends files got approved on 15th oct and visa office is Ottawa. For one of my friends agent on call informed his file is kept aside and doesn’t know the reason. Don’t know what they are upto

I understand the anxiety of those who don't know much about their files or whose files aren't approved yet. What I don't understand is the anxiety of those lucky enough to have had their files approved in a short time and know their files have been approved, yet, they're concerned about when they would get the official approval when instead they should be celebrating, packing their bags and making plans like where to live and where to apply for a job, it's a bit of an enigma to me.
