Its good to hear that. I applied via post and its been almost 3 weeks that they received the documents. My passport was issued in India, was yours issued here in US ?I applied at SFO and it took a little over 2 weeks. Mine was issued in India as well. Try sending them emails as I use to do that every day. They never replied but I guess someone might have read them at some point
For others who might be in similar situation, my application reached SFO consulate on 3rd May and the passports got dispatched back on 30th May. SO plan for a month approximately.
Unlike others, I did get a response on the only email I had sent them, saying it will take about a month. Hope this helps.

HI i went to the SFO CONSULATE in person on May 29 2018. I gave them a photocopy of my passport, address proof and EAD card.I presented my original passport to them as well. They verified my original and photocopy was the same. They did not ask me to show the original EAD card (though I had it with me).They signed it and told me to wait for a month.
My passport was issued in Houston. They told me it will just go to Houston and come back.
I suggest talking photocopies of all the documents. It is smooth if you have all documents ready. The people are highly unprofessional, but as long as everything gets submitted don't bother about how they talk.

I sent my original passport along with supporting notarised documents to Indian embassy San Francisco.
I have not received PCC nor have I heard back from them.
Is there a way to contact them to check on the status? (No one picks up Miscellaneous service line and no response to the email sent to misc@cgisf.org)

I applied to Indian Embassy in San Francisco for PCC. I sent my original passports and all other documents by mail as I live in Oregon.
It is over 40 days and I have not got the PCC. I wrote an email to the embassy and this is what they reply -
"So far we didn’t get any clear response to process PCC.
If you want passports you can collect from our consulate.
We are not assure how long it will take time."
I am wondering what I should do in this case. Do I ask my dad in India to go to the Passport office or the local police station to help hasten the matter and get the PCC.
Please share your views.

Guys i own a house and the driving license has old address. So i was wondering whether sfo consulate will accept home ownership papers as proof of residence. They only list house lease as the documents they accept. Anybody has any experience?
Also, do i need to send i797 notarized copy or just the visa copy would do (on their website they have specified either).

Hello Do we need to submit 3 copies of the personal porfoma form ? Should it include all the different address where we have stayed in USA over different years ? Also Do we need to provide photos on each form ?
Should the permanent address on this form be my Indian Address ?

The average time is around 4-5 weeks in sfo. I sent my documents on 21st May and still waiting.
It was really quick at CGI. Houston.
