Call BLS helpline to figure out why GTA centers are not accepting OCI applications but Ottawa center does.
Ottawa center should be using same OCI portal as GTA centers.
Something seems fishy at BLS GTA offices.

BLS ottawa is accepting OCI application every day.

Oh really..I don't know why they are doing like thisI feel helpless now..I don't know what to do.

I am looking for some info regarding the COPR-Confirmation of Permanent Residence. I want to apply for OCI however I've lost my COPR, instead, I've Verification of Status(IMM 5009). I've called the BLS and they said to contact the Indian Embassy in Toronto for a clarification. I sent an email to the embassy and followed up however no response was received from them.

Does anyone have any experience applying for OCI with a Verification of Status form instead of COPR?

Can we apply for an entry visa or e-visa while an OCI application is in process? Once the OCI is approved, can it be mailed to our address in India? Under these circumstances, do we need to apply for a change of immigration status from an entry visa or e-visa to OCI if we plan to stay longer in India? I found a thread where someone mentioned that if we travel on an e-visa and then receive OCI approval, we must exit and re-enter India to change our status from e-visa to OCI. However, if we are on an entry visa, exiting and re-entering may not be required. How accurate is this information? The BLS agent couldn’t provide clear guidance on this. Please advise

the problem is when you reach India using your OCI card, Immigration officers at the airport do your fingerprinting. This is what is written on the Indian consulate toronto website.

Bls Mississuaga accepted my oci application on 30th May but my friend was sent back the next day by bls in Edmonton.

For me It tooks 23 days.
