Hi guys

Sorry for the late reply. Jasvarun that was my question as well that why they were taking so long. I think every process takes at least a month. For that 1 month the file just sits in the Q and after approximately that time, the visa officer looks at the file again.

Atleast that happened in my case.

Anyways, the good news is that I got PPR. Yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Although letter dated March 30, 2011. I think thats a type as the envelope has 29th April on it and also the query I received from VO was on April 11th.

Anyways, Gally I hope you'll be getting that PPR request soon.

Congrats mate!!.... Yh i dunno y they take months just starting working on file..... although it only takes few days to make a decision....

Did you receive your letter via post or email?
Has your e-cas changed from in process to decision made?

Im hoping i get mine this week too!
Although, if its posted it could be 7-10 days before I receive it

I dunno how they work but i hv heard from few members that sometimes they send PPR via email as well... stay tight you r gonna get good news soon!! Good luck!!

I received the letter by post. Status on the ECAS has not changed. The letter I received was similar to one canadayogini received.

Yea u'll receive it probably this week or next week. International can take 7 business days.

Hi guys. I hope all of u are in good health. I just came here to tell that I got my visa on 13th. And I'll be landing in Vancouver on 08th june God Willing.

My best wishes for ppl who are still waiting. Soon u guys will also have the visa inur hands. Hang in there. My Ecas is still showing in process, so don't just rely on ecas. And also don't hesitate to contact ur VO, if required. Worst case will be that VO won't reply back. Some embassies do reply back. Sydney visa office is really good in replying back quickly.

Hey buddy that is gr8 news .. gud luck with everything....my file has been transfered by sydney office to new delhi, india because i am still an indian citizen.....even though i am permanent resident of aus they still decided to send file to processed in delhi.... So i dunno it ll be fast nw or slw.... I ll keep u guyz updated...

Thanks Jasvarun. Probably they have transferred ur file to India cuz u are Indian citizen. Canadian consulate in India work very fast so keep ur finger crossed, I am hoping that u'll hear from them pretty soon.

I've received a letter from the VO stating I need to complete some more information (something I overlooked). I've sent it off but I'm curious as to how this works now. Has anybody had any experience with Sydney in this type of thing. Would my extra documents be placed in a queue or would they be linked to my file and looked at fairly quickly? Anybody had any similar situation? I did put my file number on each piece of new information. Thanks in advance for any help.

From what I have understood from previous posts it might take about a month for them to have a look at it agian andn send you PPR!! Good luck

I was just wondering is that the normal practice of sending files back to india if you apply to sydney CHC. The reason i am asking i am living in melbourne as an international student and my wife who is a canadian citizen is also living with me here. WE are thinking of applying for family class spouse sponsor ship early nest year and we were expexting that our case will be finalized here in 7-8 months. Now i read about your case and it got me worried. Can you please elaborate on your case as why they send it to india ? is that a general thing or specific to you ? There is no info on this on the website so i am lost.

Will appreciate your help.

Hi... I am not sure what normal practice is for sydney.... But with my case when they saw I am an Indian citizen, they sent my file straight to New delhi and informed me after that.. I am permanent resident of Australia and have been living here from 6 years.... so from my personal exp.. if you are not aussie citizen they ll send your file straight to Visa Office responsible for your home country...Good Luck!!

Here is a snap shot of our case:

24 March 2011- application sent to Miss.
31 March 2011- application received by CIC-Miss.
4 May 2011 - decision made-Sponsorship approved
- sent to MICC (QUebec)
- letter sent to us. (we have not received any letter or email???)
9 May 2011 - we updated both mailing and residential address CIC had on file
17 May 2011 - application for PR received by CIC (does this mean SYDNEY office?)
- change of address updated by CIC.

Is it normal that we have not received a letter? CIC had on old residential and mailing address from 1989, which has been invalid for many years now. That old address appeared online even though it wasn't on our application, and as I mentioned above, we changed it after on the 9th of May.

You should have received the letter by now stating Aprroval of sponsorship and File sent Sydney office. If you havent, give them call at +1 613 944 4000 (for an agent: options 1,2,1,2,1 ... then 0 to skip the message) Make sure you are phoning when the Call Centre is open. This number is for CIC call centre in canada..... They will need your client id number and date of birth and few will ask few other questions before proceeding.. Good Luck!!
