Thanks for the reply.

So, would I be right in saying that would be:
Country: Canada
Status: Worker
Start date: February 2016 (that was the date the Post-Graduate Work Permit began; I had been in Canada continuously since January 2014, firstly as a student)
That i what i would do in your situation yes. They will be able to see for themselves the history of your stay anyway.. Also there is another form (I have just submitted my schedule A and its in there) where it gives you the opportunity to lay out all your varying circumstances..

(Note - Schedule A gets requested at later date when your app is in progress)

The open work permit is a part of the inland spousal sponsorship application and must be done in conjunction. You may qualify independently through other economic streams.

Hi guys, I am currently in Canada on a WHP which ends beginning of July 2018. In October me and my Canadian husband got married. We have sent my spousal sponsorship PR application beginning of December 2017. I did not apply for an open work permit immediately, but I now realize I probably should have.
My contract with my current employer ends at beginning of May 2018 and they already offered me a new contract starting mid-August 2018 for the same job.

Now I have the following questions:
- Can I still apply for my open work permit and is this job offer sufficient?
- For my PR application, I know they will ask me for a police statement at some point. I have one already, because I needed this for my WHP visa application as well. Can I send in the same one? It was issued in Dec 2016. I can't seem to find anything about how recent this document must be, but in the mean time I've stayed in Canada for the most part. It is very complicated to get one in my home country.

Your pr application..did you go Inland or Outland? If Outland, no OWP won't be an option. Only inland applicants qualify for an OWP.

Police cert wise you would be best to get another one. While there is technically no expiry date they are considered old/out of date 6 months after and chances are December 2016 is way too long ago to be considered valid. I would do that now so to be ready to submit it when they ask.

Thanks for your reply. I am an inland applicant, currently working and residing on a WHP. How do I go about obtaining it now?

For your police certificate, it stays valid forever if you obtained it after leaving the country and have not returned since. Unfortunately if you have returned (or were still living there when you obtained it) you will need to get a new one.

See the instructions here for the OWP instructions. Since you've already submitted your inland app, you will send the OWP app to Vegreville.

Hi all,
Finally I got an email saying there is an update and when I checked, it says my application has been approved. Now, I am planning to book my flight to Ontario as I put it as the province I will reside in. However, I was wondering if I can do the landing in a different province than Ontario.
I live in Washington State (US) and planning to land in BC for a day or two then come back to the US to prepare for the move later. Thoughts? Stories? Experiments?
Thank you,

You will be fine to land in a different location to that which you specified.

Will there be any issues about the health care card, permanent address, etc? And will there be any situation that may mandate me to go back to BC in future to get any documents, etc?
No. Plans change and once you have landed as PR that is it. You can go about your life as you please.

Thanks for your answer. So if I land in BC, are they going to issue Healthcard for BC then later I can change it to Ontario?
I am not sure of the BC health card system. I am in Ontario.

In Ontario, you dont get "given" a health card when you land. Its a entirely separate process with its own rules, system and specifications.
