Yes, I am in your same situation. I sent further evidence on August 7th 2012.

I just called CIC right now, hoping to get good news but nothing. The agent told me that CIC will make a decision on my application in 4 months from now and to give them a call at the end of November.

No much we can do...just waiting...I guess...

thank you pcheng, yes we've been parting all weekend we are still sinking it in and enjoying it. we are already planning to have a nice trip together. you are so close its a perfect Christmas present I think this will be our best Christmas ever! we would enjoy it even more if all of the people that have waiting for long be done with it too.

hello all.
this is my very first post. I have applied on july 6 2011. Application has been recieved on july 13 2011.
I have only recieved a letter requesting more relationship proofs on june 16 2012. I sent them same week.
since then , i havent had any news. :S

my ecaas still in process.

no aip no letter. nada.


is anyone in the same situation?
ive called the call center and they asked me to wait until they contact me ,
im desperate now. any insights anyone?

Hey I m in similar situation applied in August 2011, no Aip yet, case transferred to local office In August 2012, got a letter in sep 2012 asking about police certificate which sent in Oct 2012, since then waiting.

when your file was transferred to local office did you have an interview with them? if yes what happened? did they approve it? sometimes they let you know right away if you are approved and sometimes not. they were most likely satisfied with the local interview since they asked you for police certificate recently, you shouldn't be too far off hopefully.

I am in the same situation as you guys!! I sponsored my husband in October 2011, and on August 29th 2012 our file was transferred to the local office for further assessment...and since then we've heard nothing. I've been trying to find people in the same situation as us for such a long time now. We've never been asked for any additional proofs of our relationship, or for any other documents. Apparently they transfer your file if they have doubts about your relationship, or if they want something extra from you.

We did our application through a consultant and we thought we included enough proof....we're a young couple but we've been married for 2 years now. Guess it wasn't enough!!! I've read about people who have had their file transferred, send in all the proofs they can find to the local office, and have their interview waived. We're getting everything ready to do this, but the only problem is that the Montreal office hasn't even confirmed that they've received our file ??? !! I wish CIC had asked us to send more proof, we have so much! I even took screen shots of all our facebook chats for the last 3 years.

Our consultant told us about some of her other clients. One guy had his file transferred and waited over a year for AIP, just because he didn't include a police certificate...why they couldn't have just asked him to send it in the first place, I have no idea. I think it's likely that we'll have an interview, which would be so much better than waiting for months and months.

What's even more frustrating is that since we live in Quebec, my husband and I have been approved already through a CSQ....so Quebec is fine with us, but Canada is making us wait...we thought we already had AIP up until about a month ago.

Anyways, just wanted to share our story...we should keep each other updated!

I got AIP oct 1st. DM Oct 3rd and back to In Process 2 days later and nothing since
Have you tried calling CIC?
I called a few weeks back and they just said it's stage 1 and I have to wait up to 8 months
Sometimes I wonder how CIC works
It seems a lot of us from July, August & Sept 2011 are waiting

I read your post and i checked my ecas right away, we're the same! under my husband's and mine, permanent residence application status: in process, before it was decision made, but the message when you click is the same. I wonder if MDNA and Vinlander experience the same...
