I got mine at Walmart, I think I got 8 for like $12 or something like that. I think it helps if the person you get at the counter knows what they're doing, they should offer it if they offer passport photos.

I am a bit confused and curious.... They requested a COPY of my Passport and 4 passport sized photos, does that mean those photos are for my PR card? I sent them off, what is the next thing that will happen and the time frame?

It's confusing because I never got a PPR but I'm not complaining hhaha

I just received an email from my attorney. CIC is now requesting the Right of Permanent Residency Fee. He said that this means that it looks as though we are nearing the end of the application. Anyone else have experience here? ECAS still says "Application Received".

CIC will usually not request this fee unless they are ready to finalize your visa. If they still weren't sure they were going to give you the visa, they would not request this fee (because it is refundable if you don't get the visa.. so it would be pointless). Send it in ASAP and you will get your PPR soon!

I got kind of hopeful for a second thinking that my Stage 1 went through Ottawa instead of Mississauga (remember how us August 13th'ers were delayed).. so I was thinking MAYBE this somehow would mean I got my visa soon too...

But mine is definitely in POS... collecting dust lol

My 2nd stage AOR gave me a PPR deadline of October... so I may get PPR at any time between now and then ???

I really wish my attorney had told us to pay the RPRF upfront and then maybe I would have received a PPR instead the other day! Hoping it doesn't take long now!

I honestly feel like I've cheated everyone in July and August who is still waiting, it's so unfair to all of you. =( Of course I'm happy as can be, but I can't help but feel bad at the same time.

Awww you were one of the last one in August too. I think they needed to make it up to you somehow
