Heey everybody! any good news?

Some people got their passport back in 8 days, some got in 14 days and few are still waiting over 35 days. You never really know when you will get it! doesn't your passport get mailed to you in Afghanistan? if it doesn't, call or email the visa office and tell your situation! or tell your spouse...

How would this solve anything? People will probably never get their visas or they have to wait another 2 or 3 years. And of course, due to terror acts, Jason Kennedy will increase the processing times even more. P.S you should be careful with your comments, just in case if this website is...

Don't worry, some wives cases are taking longer as well. It depends case to case.

My husband had to refill those forms as well a month ago, till now... no news. Not sure if my case is close to be done or not. I have noticed most people have to refill them, i think it is common now.

Next step would probably be finalizing your case.

It probably took them less than 8 months to recieve the PPR, the processing time starts on the day ISL have worked on their case.. it should be around 6 ish months then! that is awesome n rare!

Yours took the longest becuz yur spouse lives in afghanistan... most cases from afghanistant takes way longer than those in pakistan. that is wat i have observed over past 2 years...

Visa offices seems to be giving visas to spouses in afghanistan only now i think becuz there are 3 ppl from this forum are getting their visas and two of my personal friends' spouses got theirs in which they will be coming to canada any day this week! they have been waitin for more than 20...

I think now a days the visa offices are giving visa to ppl whose cases have exceeded 20 + months :S i hope they don't keep everyone waitin for that long :| Congrats Baseera !

Are you sponsoring your husband from afghanistan or pakistan? 20 months is awfully alot!

I think it is a generic email they are sending to everyone because my MP said background checks are going on but in this email, it says that background checks are yet to happen. S

What type of information did you provide in the email? because whenever I sent an email to them... I never get a reply. I would appreciate your help!

My case started processing on 31st of october as well, and I also didn't recheive re-medical request as well :( Let me know if u get any news, I will let u know about mine :)
