Agree, DNA test is not necessary. Just make sure all supporting birth papers (Birth Certificate, Hospital & Doctor Certificate, etc.) are in order when submitted to the embassy.

The hospital records, if they still exist, will bear out that your wife gave birth to a BOY on a date which is also the birthday of your son. So if I were in your shoes, I'd request for the pertinent hospital records (i.e. operation perfomed if ceasarian, discharge papers, official receipts...

If you like, you can also go to your local library and borrow a book about becoming a citizen -- there are also practice tests there, though online materials will be more updated and more convenient.
